One POWERFUL Word for YOU!
What steadies you when life feels tender? I’m pondering that question right alongside you.
When seasons change—whether through health challenges, loss, transition, or simply the weight of responsibility—the idea of setting big goals or making sweeping plans can feel overwhelming. In tender seasons (and even in years when productivity was my superpower), I’ve learned that I don’t need a long list or a perfect plan. I just need one powerful word to anchor my heart.
Maybe you’re like me and have asked God for clarity on everything ahead. I’ve found myself returning again and again to what anchors me most. I ask Him for one word to carry—something to return to when emotions rise, when energy dips, or when the path feels uncertain. That word becomes a quiet reminder that I’m not walking alone. It gently redirects my focus back to Him.
And in this season of uncertainty—whether it’s my joy-healing journey (now 54 months), parenting, marriage, or daily life—I need to know that I am anchored.
One Joy Tip: Your POWERFUL Word
Rather than creating resolutions, prayerfully ask God for one powerful word to guide you in this season. It might be faith, peace, courage, rest, hope, or joy. Write it down. Put it on sticky notes around your home. Speak it aloud. Let it remind you of God’s faithfulness and the quiet courage you need to make it through the next moment. Let it meet you in the middle of your days—especially the hard ones.
A single word can bring more grounding and clarity than a long list ever could (trust me!). God is birthing something new in you this season. Let go of the old ways, embrace where you are, and allow Him to reveal His purpose for your life.
Scripture to Hold for Joy
“For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19

I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19
Joy for the Journey
You don’t need to have everything figured out. One word, held gently, can be enough to carry you forward—one faithful, joy-filled step at a time.
