The October 2022 Young Living Promotions

Enhance resiliency for the chillier months ahead. With the added stress of back-to-school, more gatherings, and colder weather coming, it's a wise idea to be proactive in keeping ourselves healthy and strong.

Thankfully, Young Living has provided us with lots of free goodies with our purchases to help keep our defense and repair system in tip-top shape.

Pine oil is one of my favorite oils to bring the smell of freshness from the great outdoors to inside. It contains the stress-relieving phytoncides (volatile compounds) that are attributed to many of the amazing wellness benefits found in fir trees.

One petri dish study also showed that pine oil could cleanse the air, acting as a fungistatic (decreasing mold). Of course, we are aware of the caveats of petri dish studies; however, in this case, since the oil is being tested for mechanisms outside the human body, it may be more relevant.

Which Pine Oil?

As with all essential oils, it is important to know the species and chemotype, as this will determine the overall general effects on a person. Also keep in mind the various considerations that will ultimately determine how your individual body will respond as well.

The pinenes are our phytoncide friends, which will vary in amount based on species, quality, and distillation methods. They are most often found in Pinus sylvestris.

2-4. The Sweet Spice Oils: Cinnamon Bark Oil, Clove Oil, and Nutmeg Oil *

The sweet spice oils of cinnamon bark, clove, and nutmeg are divine to combine in a 3:2:1 ratio for a beautiful smelling “fall blend.” I like to aromatize them in a cold-air, atomizer diffuser. This is to maximize their aroma and enhance their therapeutic properties through keeping their delicate constituents intact.

These spice oils are high in antioxidant power, promote defense and repair, and their aroma entices abundance.

They are uplifting and promote a feeling of comfort.

5.  Copaiba Oil

This oil is a famous one for its beta-caryophyllene, a terpene that is a dietary cannabinoid. This compound interacts with the endocannabinoid system, a system that regulates major functions of the body. Copaiba is relaxing to the mind, and benefits the brain, skeletal system, and much more.

Bonus for Loyalty Members: Thieves Oil

This month, when you place a 100 PV order on Loyalty Rewards, you will receive 10 Loyalty Rewards points.

When you place a 190 PV order on Loyalty Rewards, you will earn a free 15 ml bottle of Thieves® essential oil blend.

Thieves essential oil blend has multiple properties to support respiratory health and defense and repair. I find it useful during the change of seasons. Yet, it seems to always make my list of favorites for any time of year, due to its multiple properties.

The Thieves oil blend is a combination of clove, rosemary, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and lemon oils. This combination contains various compounds which can help to cleanse the air and provide antioxidant support (source, source). These oils are can support lung health (e.g., eucalyptus is high in 1-8 cineole). This blend can be diffused to decrease environmental triggers and modulate inflammation pathways. For example, a recent study found that this blend can decrease pollen counts.

Thieves is also good for oral care, improving concentration, and aiding in alleviating discomfort.

I diffuse this regularly for overall body system support and to freshen up rooms, especially in moldy areas

Also, there's a 15% sale of select Ningxia Red products through October 5th. A recent study showed Ningxia Red improved sleep  and overall wellness.
