Ten gluten-free recipes to help manage celiac (and inflammation)
Living with celiac disease can be a challenge, but it's also an opportunity to explore all the delicious gluten-free options that are available. Whether you're newly diagnosed or a seasoned pro, it can be tough to manage inflammation and other symptoms that can come with celiac disease. But fear not! There are plenty of delicious and healthy gluten-free recipes out there that can help you manage your condition and promote overall health and longevity.

 

As a middle-aged woman with celiac disease, I know all too well the struggles that come with inflammation and other symptoms of gluten sensitivity. But over the years, I've discovered a variety of delicious gluten-free recipes that help me feel my best. Here is a list of recipes, some favorites and some new to me:

 

1. Gluten-Free Banana Oat Pancakes: These pancakes are a delicious and filling way to start your day. Plus, oats are great for promoting healthy digestion and reducing inflammation.  Here is a great recipe for these. 

 

2. Spicy Shrimp Avocado Salad: This salad is packed with protein and healthy fats, and the spice can help reduce inflammation. Check out the recipe here.

 

3. Gluten-Free Chicken and Veggie Stir-Fry: This classic dish is easy to make and packed with healthy veggies and lean protein. Check out Bea's recipe!

 

4. Blueberry Chia Seed Pudding: This tasty and nutritious pudding is perfect for a mid-afternoon snack. Plus, chia seeds are a great source of omega-3s, which can help reduce inflammation. Here's Laura's recipe

 

5. Mango Salsa Salmon: This delicious and flavorful dish is loaded with omega-3s and antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation and promote overall health.

 

6. Ground Beef & Veggie Soup: I tweeked this recipe from my mother-in-law. We love it and it gets better the second day, like many soups, and it gives us a big serving of veggies. 

 

7. Baked Sweet Potato Fries: Sweet potatoes are a great source of fiber and vitamin A, and these baked fries are the perfect healthy alternative to traditional french fries. Michelle's recipe is great!

 

8. Quinoa and Vegetable Soup: This hearty and satisfying soup is loaded with protein and veggies, and the quinoa can help reduce inflammation.

 

9. Gluten-Free Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies: These delicious and healthy cookies are a great way to indulge in something sweet without the guilt. 


10. Lemon Garlic Herb Chicken: This flavorful chicken dish is loaded with antioxidants and healthy fats, and the garlic can help reduce inflammation.

 

These collection of 10 delicious gluten-free recipes are just the beginning of what's possible when it comes to managing celiac disease and promoting overall health and longevity. I chose these recipes from my recipe box and bloggers who offer a lot more gluten free information. 


I recommend trying a new recipe at least once a week or every other week.  We typically eat the same 10-15 recipes over and over.  Maybe one of these recipes will become a new favorite!
