for the love of thieves

As you may know by now I am a mama that likes to get the most bang for my buck. This means making our nontoxic cleaners and such last as long as they can. Many people avoid switching to safer products and ditching their ones filled with crap because let's be honest, it sounds pretty pricey. Or was that just me?! But I was relieved to discover that it doesn't have to be so expensive, especially when I learned a few tricks to make our items last a lot longer!

So how just do I stretch out these toxin free Thieves products to make them last longer? Fortunately for us Young Living makes their products highly concentrated. For example, most detergents sold in stores are made up of mostly water. Since Young Living's Thieves laundry detergent is super concentrated with little water this means I can add a little water and waahlaaah- I just tripled that amount of safe, clean laundry detergent for our family!

I am going to leave you with some of our favorite Thieves hacks so that you too can get the  most bang for your buck. We no longer have to compromise our health at the expensive of trying to save a few dollars.

Turn 1 Thieves Laundry Detergent into 3
Ingredients:
1 bottle of thieves laundry soap, 6 capfuls of thieves cleaner, distilled water, three 32 oz pump bottles (or 3 empty thieves laundry detergent containers), Young Living essential oils (most popular suggestions: either lavender, lemongrass, geranium, or purification), funnel & something to label your bottles (the sticker on your Thieves laundry detergent will re-stick to your pump bottles).

Directions:
Using the funnel divide the detergent between the three bottles, add 2 capful thieves cleaner to each bottle, add 20-25 drops of essential oils to each bottle, slowly top each bottle with water, add label & shake well. *** I save the lid to my thieves laundry detergent to use to measure the amount of pumps needed in my HE washer.

*side note- if you'd like you detergent a little more concentrated then just make this recipe but adjust to make 2 detergents out of 1, instead of 3.

Turn 1 Thieves Hand Soap into 3
Ingredients:
1 bottle of thieves hand soap, 2 extra foaming hand pump bottles (or 2 extra empty thieves hand soap bottles), distilled water

Directions:
Pour 1/3 of your thieves hand soap into each of the other 2 foaming hand soap bottles, top with water and that's it!

Turn 1 Thieves Dish Soap into 3
Ingredients:
1 bottle of thieves dish soap, funnel, 2 other empty thieves dish soap containers, baking soda & distilled water (optional- thieves cleaner)

Directions:
Using the funnel divide the 2/3 dish soap between the other 2 bottles, add 1 tsp of baking soda to each & top with water. Bonus- I like to add a capful of thieves cleaner to each as well.

Turn 1 Thieves Mouthwash into 2
Ingredients:
1 bottle of thieves mouthwash, funnel, 1 other empty thieves mouthwash container & distilled water. (optional- 10 drops peppermint or spearmint eo, 10 drops cinnamon bark eo & 10 drops thieves eo)

Directions:
Using the funnel divide the 1/2 thieves mouth wash into the other empty bottle & top with water.
(I prefer my mouthwash without extra essential oils added since I do not like a strong mouthwash. My teeth are on the more sensitive side. If you'd prefer a stronger/minty mouthwash then you can add 5 drops of peppermint or spearmint to each mouthwash + 5 drops of cinnamon bark to each + 5 of thieves to each)
