It seems too hard to believe, but school days are just around the corner. Whether you're heading back soon or have a bit more summer ahead, this month's Gift With Purchase will help you get a head start on preparing! Here are some of our favorite ways to use these household staples.

Felt Oil Pouch

Keep your child going through the school day with this convenient felt pouch for their three favorite 5 mL oil bottles OR keep a 'car kit' handy in the car, backpacks etc. so you and your little ones have the oils you need when you need them! Here are a few we suggest:

  • Lavender for calming, Peppermint for focus, DiGize for belly needs
  • Orange, Lemon, and Grapefruit for fresh, uplifting feelings

KidScents SleepyIze Oil Blend

Add SleepyIze to your diffuser to set the tone for bed. Make this a part of your daily bedtime routine to create a signal for your little ones to wind down.

Apply SleeyIze to the big toe, along the spine, and/or on the back of the neck to encourage restfulness. You can also drop it on pillowcases, pjs or stuffed animals.

Whip up a Bedtime Blues Linen Spray. To an 8 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 20 drops each SleepyIze & Tangerine
  • Fill with distilled water and invert to gently mix.
    Spray onto linens, pjs, stuff animals, etc.
Make a Sweet Dreams Roller. To an empty 15 mL essential oil bottle with an AromaGlide Roller Fitment, add:
  • 20 drops each Lavender, Stress Away, & SleepyIze
  • Fill with a carrier of choice
    Apply over the big toe, bottom of the feet, neck and behind the ears before bed or more frequently as desired.

Essential Oil Blend

Add a roller top directly to your bottle of KidScents Kid Power or dilute in a 10 mL roller bottle and roll it over the wrists, neck and chest in the mornings before school, meetings or other events.

Drop Kid Power onto diffuser jewelry - bracelets, necklaces, rings, paracord bracelets, etc.

Make an 'On the Go' Kit with your favorite rollers, carrier oil and KidScents oil with roller tops. Don't forget the Owie, TummyGize and SniffleEase.

Make a DIY Mattress & Linen Spray to use every time you make the bed or change the sheets. To a 8 oz glass spray bottle, add:
Make a summer inspired room spray. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Kid Power
  • 10 drops Ylang Ylang
  • splash of witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered with water
Take a relaxing Epsom Salt bath with Kid Power. Add 20 drops to 1 cup Epsom Salt and soak in warm water.

Try this Back to School Sugar Scrub.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 15 drops Kid Power
  • 10 drops Lavender
    Combine all the ingredients in a metal or glass container, use in the shower to exfoliate & moisturize.
Make this DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe (great after using the sugar scrub listed above):
  • 1/2 cup unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1/8 cup cocoa butter
  • 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 25 drops Kid Power
  • 15 drops Lavender & Grapefruit
    Step 1 - Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and coconut butter, then add in Vitamin E oil and whisk.
    Step 2 - Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved.
    Step 3 - Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
Diffuse this warm, happy oil all month long.
  • Simmer Down - 5 drops Stress Away, 3 drops each Lavender & Kid Power
  • Warm Hug - 4 drops each Kid Power, Ylang Ylang & Lavender
  • Baking Cookies - 4 drops Kid Power, 3 drops each Cinnamon & Vanilla
  • School Days - 4 drops Kid Power, 6 drops Thieves
