Citronella essential oil

• 30 drops Citronella
• 20 drops each Rosemary, Tea Tree, Myrtle, Geranium, Lemongrass
• Splash of alcohol-free witch hazel
• Fill with filtered water or fractionated coconut oil (per your preference)
• Spritz it at sporting events, while camping or anytime you want to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free.

• Natural beeswax pellets
• Organic coconut oil (optional) - 1 tsp per jar
• hemp wicks, wick sticks & a wick centering device
• glass jars
• 75 drops Citronella essential oil

• Patio Weather: Geranium + Citronella

• One tube of YL Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

• Filtered water in an 8 ounce glass spray bottle

• Wildflowers: Eucalyptus Globulus + Lavender + Joy
• Spa Day: Eucalyptus Globulus + Rosemary + Lemon

Aroma Siez essential oil blend

• 30 drops Aroma Siez
• 20 drops each Peppermint, Copaiba, Lavender, Eucalyptus Globulus
• Carrier of choice (V-6, coconut oil, jojoba oil, etc)
• 4 oz pump bottle

• 2 cups epsom salt
• 1 cup Himilayan sea salt
• 30 drops each: Aroma Siez, Oregano, Marjoram, Cypress, Thyme, Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, Wintergreen
• Mix well. To use, scoop out about 1/2 cup of the mixture and run under warm water, adding more Epson salt if desired.

• 20 drops each: Aroma Siez, Oregano, Marjoram, Cypress, Thyme, Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, Wintergreen
• 5 pumps Ortho Ease Massage Oil
• Carrier of choice in a 10 mL roller bottle
• Apply as desired over spine, both of feet, and/or lymph nodes. We suggest using every hour for acute needs.

These eye pillows are a fun DIY and are wonderful to have around the home! You can choose different fabrics or even change the essential oil, but we are partial to Lavender. They are also wonderful when you are experiencing head and neck tension or are needing a little extra TLC!

• 1/4 yard of fabric (you will have extra) Note - make sure the fabric is washed and dried before you begin
• 1 1/4 cup flax seed
• 3/4 cup dried Lavender buds
• 20 or so drops Lavender essential oil

• a lightweight fabric will help the smell diffuse better, think a medium weight linen or light cotton.
• The amount of Lavender and flax seed can be played with. If you desire more buds, go ahead and increase that amount. If you want more flax, have at it.
• Losing smell? Try cursing the bag in your hands to help more scent release.

And peppermint essential oil is definitely one of our most used for this purpose.

Each month we focus on using an oil every day to help us in accomplishing our goals. Join us in choosing a method of application and simply getting this oil on and around you every day in April! My goal is to use up an entire bottle for my personal use.

• Cools fatigued muscles after physical activity
• Produces a focused environment when diffused
• Provides a refreshing experience when mixed with your favorite shampoo or when applied to skin after a warm day in the sun

PEPPERMINT & EMOTIONS 

Peppermint also has a strong emotional benefits. The bright, crisp aroma is wonderful to inhale to soothe anxious feelings, uplift the spirits and calm racing thoughts and restlessness.  When we inhale oils, the area of our brain dealing with memory and mood is affected, so diffusing or applying peppermint oil can help us tremendously. It's wonderful paired with citrus oils for a vibrant, uplifting aroma!

PEPPERMINT & RAINDROP:

• Peppermint is one of the key essential oils used in the Raindrop massage technique and is also compliant of the oil blends used in this technique.
• Raindrop Roll-on:
  • 10 drops each: Oregano, Basil, Marjoram, Cypress, Thyme, Wintergreen, Peppermint, Aroma Siez
  • 1-2 pumps Ortho Ease (or V-6)
  • Fill the rest with a carrier oil, like Young LIving's V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex.
  • Apply over the lymph nodes, along the spine, on the bottom of the feed as needed. Use frequently and consistently!
• Raindrop Detox Bath
  • 6 cups Epsom Salts
  • 10 drops each: Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, Marjoram, Cypress, Peppermint, White Angelica, Aroma Siez
  • Combine Epsom salts and essential oils in a glass jar and mix well. When you are ready for a soak, add 1-2 cups of the mixture to a warm bath, and relax for at leas 30 minutes.

DAILY HABITS WITH PEPPERMINT:

• Add a drop or two to the back of the neck to support alertness and focus! Also diffuse during school, homework or work time.
• Add peppermint to an Epsom salt bath and/or use for a post-workout massage to ease and support tired muscles.
• Add a few drops to dryer balls for the fresh smelling laundry.
• Apply with coconut oil to the chest and back to support the airways. This is wonderful before lying down at bedtime. You can also add Lemon, Lavender, RC, and Raven.
• Add a drop directly to the belly button to lower body temperature when needed.
• Make a Tension Roll-On. Give tired, tense, or sore muscles some love! One great thing about Peppermint is that it actually helps support our muscles and tendons through the strain versus simply making the skin tingle like convention pain creams. In a 10 mL roller bottle add:
  • 10 drops Peppermint
  • 10 drops PanAway
  • 10 drops Copaiba
  • 5 drops Oregano or Marjoram
  • Top off with a carrier oil. Apply frequently and consistently
  • Avoid getting too close to the eyes. If you get it in your eyes, rub with coconut oil or other carrier oil.
• Make a Digest Roll-On. Throughout history, peppermint has been used to calm and soothe digestive needs, so adding it to your digestive blends makes sense! There's a reason all the items on the GI isle at the drugstore are peppermint-flavored. In a 10 mL roller bottle add:
  • 10 drops Peppermint
  • 10 drops Lemon
  • 10 drops DiGize
  • Top off with carrier oil. Apply over the abdomen as needed!

Thieves Household Cleaner

ONE cleaner to rule them all!! Yes you can actually clean your entire home with this one bottle. The formula is concentrated, so just a little goes a long way! Here are some of our favorite uses (and even more recipes here):

• General cleaning: Dilute 1 capful in a 16oz glass spray bottle of water. Add extra essential oils as desired for extra oomph and scent!
• Deep cleaning: Dilute 2-3 capfuls in a 16oz glass spray bottle of water.
• Toilet bowl cleaner:
  • 1/4 cup of baking soda,
  • 1/2 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 1-2 drops Lemon oil
  • Mix well and place inside of toilet or on a brush, then brush the inside of the bowl. Let sit for a few minutes, then flush!
• Deep Cleaning Scrub:
  • Equal parts Thieves Household cleaner + baking soda
  • Mix together, then apply with an abrasive brush or soft cloth depending on area to be cleaned. Rinse with water.
• Window + Glass cleaner:
  • 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 4-5 cups of distilled water
  • 2-3 drops of lemon essential oil OR 1 tsp of white vinegar for streak-free clean
  • Spray onto windows, sills and mirrors to remove dirt, sticky residue and grime.

Lemon Myrtle or Lemon Verbena Essential Oil

• Lushious Lemon Thieves Cleaner:
  • 5 drops Lemon
  • 6 drops Lemon Myrtle
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus Globulus

  • 1 drops Cinnamon
  • 1 capful of Thieves Cleaner

March's Oil of the Month

Create a healthy wellness routine and refresh your home for spring with Lemongrass! 

Each month we focus on using an oil every day to help us in accomplishing our goals. Join us in choosing a method of application and simply getting this oil on and around you every day in March! My goal is to use up an entire bottle for my personal use.

BACKGROUND: 

Lemongrass recalls exotic locales and warm winds and adds a subtle scent of citrus to the air, making it one of our favorite springtime oils! Lemongrass belongs to the Poaceae family, the flowering plants known as grasses. The plant is native to Southeast Asia, South America, and other tropical locations where warm, moist climates encourage its growth. It is distilled from the leaves and woody stalks of the lemongrass plant, and it produces a subtle citrus-herb scent. Lemongrass has a sophisticated and relaxing aroma that can transform your home’s environment into a comforting sanctuary!

LEMONGRASS & EMOTIONS by Eryn Jones: 

LEMONGRASS is a wonderful oil for the "shoulds" and "expectations" we so often feel, whether they are real or perceived. Number 9s on the Enneagram Personality Test feel these in their gut. Rubbing Lemongrass or DiGize over the abdomen or diffusing Lemongrass can help release them and focus on their own needs and wants. (Side note: this can often physically manifest as actual stomach discomfort and these oils can help with that too!)

LEMONGRASS & SKINCARE:

• Use lemongrass as a spot treatment for blemishes. You can also make your own T-zone toner with this simple recipe:
  • 2oz glass bottle
  • 10 drops Lemongrass
  • 5 drops Lavender
  • Fill with Witch Hazel
• DIY Lemongrass Sugar Scrub: The citrusy scent of lemongrass is super uplifting, and the oil itself is actually really good for your skin. This simple sugar scrub recipe is perfect for your hands, lips, and body, helps soften skin and is super moisturizing. Massage this concoction gently into your skin to get rid of dry and rough skin, leaving your skin super soft and hydrated. 
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp raw honey
  • 10 drops lemongrass essential oil
  • In a mixing bowl, mix together sugar, olive oil, honey, and essential oil until well blended. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

DAILY HABITS WITH LEMONGRASS:

• Add a few drops of lemongrass to dryer balls for the freshest smelling laundry!
• Make your own substitute for chemical-based air fresheners. To a 2oz spray bottle add 10 drops of lemongrass, a splash of witch hazel, and fill with water. Spritz it over carpets, furniture, and linens to eliminate stale odors!
• Adding 3–4 drops of lemongrass to a sink full of dishes, a load of laundry, or Thieves Household Cleaner for extra oomph and a wonderful, uplifting scent!
• Add lemongrass to an epsom salt bath and/or use for a post-workout massage to ease and support tired muscles.
• Reach for lemongrass for sleep support! Throughout history it has been used as a sedative and a tool for anxious thoughts, so it's the perfect addition to your favorite sleep roller. Try this recipe: In a 10 ml bottle add:
  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 10 drops Orange
  • 5 drops Lemongrass
  • Top off with carrier oil. Apply to wrists, back of neck, temples and feet. 

DIFFUSE: 

Diffusing is a wonderful health habit! We have our diffuser going almost 24/7 and love to choose blends that are supportive of individual needs or systems. Try some of these great combinations for a green spring home!

• A Midsummer Night’s Dream: 5 drops Citronella, 3 drops Geranium, 2 drops Tea Tree, 2 drops Lemongrass
• Apple Pie: 4 drops Cinnamon Bark, 2 drops Lemongrass, 2 drops Grapefruit, 2 drops Bergamot
• Lemon Bars: 4 drops Lemon, 4 drops Stress Away, 2 drops Lemongrass
