Clove Essential Oil

Clove essential oil is a health powerhouse! It is high in the constituent eugenol, which boasts well documented health supporting properties. It protects our brains, hearts, lungs, immune systems and basically the body as a whole. It is a key ingredient in our beloved Thieves blend. Plus, it is a wonderful addition to any fall diffuser blend! 

Use Clove in your health and wellness routine. Make a Daily Wellness Roller to use morning and evening over the lymph nodes, spine, bottom of the feet. Also use this when your defenses start to go down. In a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 25 drops Clove
  • 20 drops each Lemon & Frankincense
  • 15 drops Oregano & R.C. (optional)
Add Clove to an epsom salt bath for a gentle detox or use more in a more concentrated way when your defenses go down.

Give your tired feet some love with this Lemon Herb Foot Scrub:
  • 2 Tbsp Organic Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp of Honey
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 drops each Clove & Lemon
    Mix ingredients well then rub onto feet. Wrap feet with warm damp towels and let sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove the towel and wipe off the scrub. Follow with moisturizer if desired.
Whenever you feel your defenses going down, try this Immune Boost Bath Soak:
Try this Tingly Lip Scrub for soft, happy lips:
  • 7 drops Vanilla
  • 5 drops Clove
  • ¼ cup White Sugar
  • ¼ cup Coconut Oil
    Whip coconut oil with a mixer, then add in sugar and essential oils and mix again.  Store in a glass jar. Apply nightly to lips in a circular motion. Wipe off with a dry towel.
Try these DIY Oil-Infused Shower Melts
  • 1 Cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Cup High Quality Epsom Salt
  • 30 Drops Of Essential Oil(s) (Clove, Lemon, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Peppermint in any combination or alone)
  • Water (about 2-3 teaspoons)
  • Silicone mold
    Step 1 - Pour the baking soda and epsom salt into a mixing bowl. Slowly add water, about 2 teaspoons, and mix well. If the mixture is not holding, add another teaspoon of water.
    Step 2 - Add essential oil(s) of your choice and mix well. Scoop into silicone molds and let sit overnight. Remove and store in an airtight container.
    To use - simply place a shower melt on the floor of the shower near the water but not directly in the stream. Enjoy!
Use Clove in your household and DIY routines - Add a few drops to your dishwater or dishwasher to eliminate odors and boost cleaning.

Make this Citrus Spice Thieves Cleaner recipe:
Make a refreshing room spray. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Clove
  • 10 drops Lemon or Grapefruit (optional)
  • Splash organic witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered water
Make a DIY Carpet & Rug Freshener. To a glass jar, add: 
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ½ cup salt
  • 30 drops Clove
  • 20 drops Lemon
    Mix well. When ready to use, sprinkle over carpets and let sit for 10 minutes before vacuuming.
Diffuse some of these great combinations and enjoy the spicy, supporting aroma of Thieves! 
  • Snickerdoodle - 4 drops Clove + 5 drops Stress Away + 3 drops Vanilla
  • Bakery Treats - 4 drops Clove + 4 drops Nutmeg + 3 drops Vanilla + 3 drops Cinnamon Bark
  • Crisp Breeze - 3 drops each Clove, Grapefruit, & Bergamot + 2 drops Orange

Copaiba Essential Oil

Copaiba is one oil you always want to have on hand. Think of this oil like the Fireman of the toolkit - gentle yet strong, ready to get to work soothing things that need to be soothed. From skin care to muscles to gut health, this little bottle can do so much! 

Use Copaiba in your daily health routine!

Use for teething little ones. Add a drop of Copaiba to a wooden teether or cloth teether & let them go to town chewing away! Can also be done on a cold or frozen washcloth. Copaiba is gentle enough to use without a carrier oil. You can always apply diluted Copaiba and Lavender on the outside of the jawline.

Make this DIY Muscle Balm:
Make a ‘Head On' Roller. In a 10 mL roller bottle, mix:
  • 15 drops each Copaiba, Peppermint, Cypress, Lavender, & Frankincense
  • Carrier of choice
    Roll onto tense or sore areas as needed
Add 15 drops to 1 cup of magnesium flakes for a soothing soak.

Make this Bedtime Bath Soak for a spa-inspired evening routine
Whip up a Sweet Dreams Linen Spray. To an 8 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 25 drops each Copaiba, Tangerine, & Lavender
  • Fill with distilled water and invert to gently mix.
  • Spray onto linens, pjs, stuffed animals, etc. 
Try this Wind Down Foot Scrub as a treat for tired feet before bed.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 10 drops Copaiba
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus
    Combine all ingredients in a metal or glass container, use in the shower to exfoliate & moisturize! 
Try this DIY Hand Salve for soothing dry skin (not just hands!)
  • ½ cup Organic Olive Oil (or 1 cup if not using arnica oil)
  • ½ cup organic arnica oil
  • 1 Tbsp shea butter
  • 2 Tbsp unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 3-4 Tbsp beeswax pastilles
  • 40 drops essential oils: Copaiba, Patchouli, Frankincense, Lavender, alone or in combination
  • Essential oils to add for a masculine scent: Sandalwood, Vetiver, Idaho Blue Spruce
    Step 1 - Using a double boiler, place several inches of water in the bottom and place a bowl or pan on top. Turn the heat to low-medium and add the olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil & beeswax and allow it to melt, stirring gently.
    Step 2 - Remove the bowl from the double boiler. Add Vitamin E oil and essential oils.
    Step 3 - Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes to cool but not harden, then pour into the small containers.
Make this Dry Skin Bath Soak! Adding oatmeal to the bath is helpful for more acute skin needs, especially for children.
Make this nourishing DIY Goat Milk Soap.
Add Copaiba to your beauty and self care routine. Use Copaiba in a DIY Toner Roller. To a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 15 drops each Frankincense, Tea Tree, Manuka, Copaiba and Lavender
  • Fill with organic witch hazel
Add one drop each of Frankincense + Copaiba to your palm when you put your carrier oil/moisturizer on your face in the morning or at night. Or make a Daily Glow Serum. To a 2 oz glass dropper bottle, add:
  • 20 drops each of Frankincense and Copaiba
  • Top with your carrier of choice. 
Diffuse this calming earthy oil to create a serene atmosphere:
  • Marshmallow Latte - 3 drops Copaiba, 4 drops Vanilla, 2 drops Ylang ylang, 2 drops Nutmeg
  • Bedtime Blues - 4 drops each Copaiba, Lavender, & Northern Lights Black Spruce
  • Take A Moment - 3 drops Copaiba, 3 drops Nutmeg, 2 drops Clove, 2 drops Cinnamon Bark, 2 drops Vanilla

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

Cinnamon Bark essential oil has a warm, spicy aroma that is so inviting any time of year but especially during the Autumn Season! Cinnamon Bark cleanses the air, creates a warming sensation on the skin when applied topically, and contains antioxidants that help support the immune system and general wellness.

Use Cinnamon Bark in your health and wellness routines. Make this Daily Wellness Roller. In a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 10 drops each: Cinnamon Bark, Oregano, Frankincense, Lemon, and Pine
  • Fill with carrier oil of choice
  • Roll over the spine and lymph nodes morning and evening
Add a couple drops of Cinnamon Bark to your favorite perfume roller for a warm, spicy undertone.
  • Joy, Tangerine + Cinnamon Bark
  • Jasmine, Neroli, Stress Away + Cinnamon Bark
  • Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Tangerine + Cinnamon Bark
Try this Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Scrub:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 5 drops Vanilla
  • 5 drops Cinnamon Bark
    Mix essential oils and brown sugar in a glass bowl until well blended, then add coconut oil until the scrub reaches your desired consistency. Massage the skin in a circular motion and rinse well. This also makes a lovely gift!
Whenever you feel your defenses going down, try this Immune Boost Bath Soak:
Use Cinnamon Bark in your home. Make a DIY Mold & Mildew Purifying Spray. In a 16 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 1 1/4 C white vinegar
  • 3/4 C water
  • 6 drops each: Cinnamon Bark, Patchouli and Tea Tree.
DIY Scented Hand Soap:
  • Recycled Thieves or Lavender foaming hand soap bottle (or a new one)
  • 2 Tbsp Liquid Castile Soap
  • 20-30 drops essential oils
  • Top with water leaving approximately 1" so you can add the pump top.
  • Optional: 1 Tbl Vitamin E oil to help soften the skin.
  • Sugar & Spice: 10 drops Ylang Ylang, 5 drops each Cinnamon Bark, Clove
  • Autumn Spice: 10 drops Orange, 5 drops each Cinnamon Bark, Clove, 3 drops Nutmeg

Diffuse this perfect fall oil anytime of day!
  • Chai Latte - 4 drops Cinnamon Bark, 3 drops each Cardamom, Vanilla, 2 drops Nutmeg
  • Campfire Calm - 4 drops Cinnamon Bark, 3 drops Vetiver, 3 drops Vanilla, 2 drops Pine
  • Cozy Home - 4 drops Lavender, 3 drops each Cinnamon Bark, Northern Lights Black Spruce, 2 drops Pine

Pine Essential Oil

Pine essential oil is an underrated one for sure. This tree oil has an uplifting aroma that creates a breath of fresh air anywhere you use it, encourages feelings of positive energy, repels the influence of negative energy, and has some really unique and incredible health benefits!

Create a cozy fall & winter home with Pine and add to your cleaning routine. Make Scented Pinecone Fire Starters:
  • Yarn or twine
  • Large, foraged pinecones from the yard
  • Thieves Household Cleaner
  • Pine or Christmas Spirit essential oils
    Step 1 - Collect pine cones and lightly spritz them with diluted Thieves Household Cleaner to get rid of any unwanted pests. Allow to dry overnight.
    Step 2 - Wrap twine or yarn around the pinecones, all the way into the center weaving between the individual scales. You can use festive, colorful yarn for a fun twist or neutral yarn or twine.
    Step 3 - Drop 5 drops of essential oil onto the yarn/twine of each pinecone. Place in a basket beside the fireplace and add a few to the fire whenever you build one.
Use Pine in DIY cleaning products for a fresh, sparkling home. Add 20 drops to Thieves Cleaner (option to add 20 drops of Lemon as well)

Make a DIY Wood Polish
  • 1 cup Olive oil
  • 5 drops Pine essential oil
  • 5 drops Lemon essential oil
Use Pine to make any of the DIY Cleaning Recipes below or mix it with Lemon or Thieves.

Make a DIY Mattress & Linen Spray to use every time you make the bed or change the sheets. To an 8 oz glass spray bottle, add:
Make DIY Scented Sachets to bring a fresh, spa-inspired aroma to any area of your home.
  • ½ cup Organic uncooked rice
  • ¼ cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 cup Dried lavender buds
  • Muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approximately 5 inches long by 4 inches wide
  • 20 drops each Lavender & Pine essential oil
  • 10 drops Sage essential oil
    Step 1 - In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom salt, flower buds, and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture.
    Step 2 - Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch.
    Step 3 - Place anywhere you want to add a fresh lavender scent.
    Step 4 - Refresh your pouch every 2-3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil
Make a DIY Laundry Scent Booster. To a large glass jar with a lid, whisk together until all ingredients are well combined:
  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • ½ cup Fine Sea Salt
  • ½ cup Baking Soda
  • 30 drops total Pine + Lemon essential oils
  • Optional: 15 drops Thieves essential oil blend
    To use: add 1-2 Tbl into the washer before adding any laundry. Add laundry and the normal amount of laundry detergent.
Make these DIY Cleaning Fizzies for the bathroom or kitchen:
  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Citric acid
  • ½ cup Cornstarch
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 20 drops each Lemon, PineOptional 10 drops Thieves
  • 3 teaspoons V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex or other carrier
  • Ice cube tray or candy mold
    Step 1 - In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix evenly.
    Step 2 - In a separate bowl, combine water, essential oils or blends, and V-6.
    Step 3 - Pour liquids into the large bowl and mix together until combined.
    Step 4 - Use the mixture to fill an ice cube tray or candy mold about three fourths full. If the mixture expands and spills over the mold, gently repack into the mold.
    Step 5 - Let sit overnight to dry in a room temperature area. When dry, pop tablets out and store in a glass jar.
    To Use - When needed, put a tablet in the toilet bowl, hard-to-clean bottles, or sink full of dishes to help clean and deodorize. Let sit in the bowl, bottle, or sink for 20–30 minutes to fizz and dissolve. Once dissolved, flush or rinse out.
Make a DIY Carpet & Rug Freshener. To an airtight glass jar, add:
  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Fine Sea Salt
  • 15-20 drops each Pine, Lemon
    Mix well. When ready to use, sprinkle over carpets and let sit for 10 minutes before vacuuming.
Make an Herbal Deodorizing Spray for pet beds, upholstered surfaces, car upholstery, etc! To a 4 oz glass spray bottle, add
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 20 drops Pine essential oil
  • 10 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 10 drops Tangerine essential oil
  • 5 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • Pinch sea salt or splash of witch hazel
  • Filtered water
    Spray lightly onto surfaces to remove unwanted odors. 
Use Pine in your skincare and health routines. Make a Roaring 20s wellness roller. To a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 15 drops each Pine, Lemon, & Thieves
  • 10 drops Frankincense
  • 5 drops Geranium
  • Fill with carrier.
Make this incredible DIY Gardener's Hand Salve for anyone who works with their hands.
  • ½ cup cold pressed organic olive oil (or 1 cup if not using arnica oil)
  • ½ cup organic arnica oil
  • 1 Tbsp shea butter
  • 2 Tbsp unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 3-4 Tbsp beeswax pastilles
  • 30 drops essential oils: Myrrh, Frankincense, Lavender, Patchouli, Pine
  • Essential oils to add for a masculine scent: Sandalwood, Vetiver, Idaho Blue Spruce

Whether your skin needs some TLC or you have a more acute need, make this ‘Ultimate Skin Healing Balm' and use it frequently and liberally! Use whatever oils you have that are listed. To about 1/4 jar of Rose ointment, add:
  • 10 drops Pine
  • 8 drops Helichrysum
  • 8 drops Myrrh
  • 4 drops Frankincense
  • 4 drops Lavender
    Apply to needed area(s) 2-5 times a day. Frequency and consistency are crucial for these big needs!
Make a simple DIY Roll-on Cuticle Oil! This also makes a great gift and pairs well with the Gardener's Hand Salve:
Take a relaxing epsom salt bath with Pine. Add 20 drops to 1 cup epsom salt and soak in warm water.

Make these Detox Bath Salts:
  • 1 cup magnesium flakes
  • ½ cup Epsom Salt
  • 20 drops Pine essential oil
  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 5 drops Clove
  • Optional: 5 drops Thieves essential oil
  • Optional: dried lavender, rose buds, rosemary
    Add to a glass jar and mix well. If gifting or storing add ¼ cup baking soda or Himalayan salt to help prevent clumping. 
Add 5 drops to a large handful of massage oil and apply to the skin to relax tired muscles. Or whip up a DIY Massage Oil. To a 4 oz pump bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Pine essential oil
  • 10 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • 10 drops Cypress essential oil
  • Carrier of choice
Diffuse this woodsy oil all season long to support the immune system, ground the emotions and create a cozy home atmosphere.
  • Cabin Fever - 4 drops Pine,  5 drops Thieves, 3 drops Frankincense
  • Autumn Farmhouse - 4 drops each Pine, Cinnamon Bark, Tangerine
  • Falling Leaves - 4 drops Pine,  3 drops Clove, 3 drops Cedarwood, 2 drops Vanilla
  • Autumn Calling - 3 drops Pine, 3 drops Cinnamon Bark, 2 drops Nutmeg, 2 drops Clove, 3 drops Tangerine

Nutmeg Essential Oil

Nutmeg is an essential fall scent. Warm and welcoming, grounding and so good for our immune and adrenal systems! But it is SO much more than that. Nutmeg helps our bodies to manage stress responses naturally - something that everyone needs these days. Plus it is great for focus, energy, and vitality!

Add Nutmeg to your daily health and stress reduction routines.

Add to Thieves toothpaste or Thieves Mouthwash to freshen breath

Apply diluted to lower back and over the throat to support the endocrine system - thyroid, adrenals and other hormones.

Take a relaxing epsom salt bath with Nutmeg to soothe muscles and support the adrenals. Add 10 drops to 1 cup epsom salt or magnesium flakes and soak in warm water.

Try this Revitalizing Sugar Scrub for an at-home spa night:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 15 drops Nutmeg
  • 10 drops Rosemary
    Combine all ingredients in a metal or glass container, use in the shower to exfoliate & moisturize! 
Make this DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe.
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup pure organic shea butter
  • 1/8 cup cocoa butter
  • 1 Tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 15 drops each Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, Clove, & Vanilla
    Step 1 - Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, then add in vitamin E oil and whisk.
    Step 2 - Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved. Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
Make this DIY Stress Recovery Serum. To a 4 oz glass dropper bottle, add:
  • Organic castor oil
  • 25 drops Nutmeg
  • 20 drops Clove
  • 20 drops Frankincense
  • 20 drops Rosemary
    Apply over the lower back every morning and before bed each evening!
Use Nutmeg to create a cozy home. Add Nutmeg to DIY Beeswax Jar Candles.

Drop Nutmeg onto cloths or cotton balls and place in air vents, bottoms of trash cans, closets, etc. Add Nutmeg to wool dryer balls for fresh, crisp laundry.
