Tangerine Essential Oil

 Add a few drops to unscented body wash or Epsom salts in your bath for a luxurious soak.

Try this The Future is Bright roller blend. To a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 10 drops each Envision, Valor, & Tangerine
  • Fill the rest with carrier of choice
    Roll onto your wrists, heart, and neck as often as desired.
Indulge in this DIY Bath Soak for a little TLC:
Make this DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe:
  • 1/2 cup unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 20 drops Grapefruit
  • 25 drops Tangerine
    Step 1 - Melt together coconut oil and shea butter, then add in Vitamin E oil and whisk.
    Step 2 - Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved.
    Step 3 - Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
Use Tangerine to make DIY Oil-Infused Shower Melts with a fresh, happy scent.
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Epsom Salt
  • 30 drops of essential oils of choice
  • water (about 2-3 teaspoons)
  • Silicon mold
    Step 1 - Pour the baking soda and Epsom salt into a mixing bowl.
    Step 2 - Slowly add water, about 2 teaspoons and mix well. If the mixture is not holding, add another teaspoon of water.
    Step 3 - Add essential oils of your choice and mix well.
    Step 4 - Scoop into silicone molds and let sit overnight.
    Step 5 - Remove and store in an airtight container.
    To use, simply place a shower melt on the floor of the shower near the water but not directly in the stream. Enjoy!
Make a refreshing room spray. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Tangerine
  • 10 drops Lemon
  • splash of witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered with water
Whip up this simple DIY Linen Spray to bring a bit of spring to linens and upholstered surfaces. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • splash of witch hazel
  • 15 drops of Tangerine
  • 10 drops Peppermint
  • 10 drops Lemon
  • filtered water
Add Tangerine to wool dryer balls to give your laundry a floral, spring aroma. 

Diffuse this crisp citrus oil alone or with just about anything!
Citrus Burst - 4 drops each Tangerine, Lemon, Grapefruit, & Lime
Deep Breath - 4 drops each Tangerine, R.C, & Thieves
Push Pop - 5 drops Vanilla, 4 drops Tangerine
Stay Calm - 4 drops Tangerine, 3 drops Lavender, 2 drops Roman Chamomile

Vetiver Essential Oil

 Feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or in need of deep calm? Vetiver essential oil is your earthy anchor. Known as the “oil of tranquility,” vetiver's rich, smoky scent helps ground your emotions and restore balance when life gets hectic.

Whether you’re navigating back-to-school chaos or just need mental clarity, this oil is a powerful addition to your wellness routine.

Try this Calm the Chaos Roller. This is a great one to apply to the back of the neck for focus!
  • 20 drops Vetiver, 20 Lavender, 15 Cedarwood
  • 10mL roller
  • fill with carrier oil
Diffuse with Peppermint and Cedarwood to support focus.

Whip up this Sweet Sleep Serum for a dreamy bedtime face oil:
  • 5 drops Vetiver, 5 Roman Chamomile, 5 Ylang ylang
  • Carrier oil
  • 10 mL roller bottle 
Make a DIY Grounding Bath Soak:
  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 5 drops Vetiver + 5 drops Frankincense
  • 1 tbsp carrier oil
Make this Back-to-Basics Body Oil - Blend Vetiver with Sacred Sandalwood and Vanilla in fractionated coconut oil for an all-over calming body moisturizer

Add a drop to the bottom of your feet before meditation, yoga, or stressful meetings for instant grounding

Whip up a Morning Facial Mist (Calm + Tone) - mix and pour into a small glass spray bottle. Shake before use and mist over clean skin to tone and refresh
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 5 drops Vetiver essential oil
  • 1 tsp witch hazel (optional). 
Use Vetiver in your nighttime skincare routine with this Night Oil Serum (Repair + Nourish) -combine and apply 3-4 drops to damp skin before bed to support overnight skin repair.
  • 2 tbsp jojoba or rosehip oil
  • 4 drops Vetiver
  • 2 drops Lavender
  • 1 drop Frankincense
Give skin some TLC with this Pavement Spray. In a 2 oz spray bottle, combine
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 1 tsp liquid carrier oil
  • 5 drops Vetiver
  • 3 drops Tea tree oil
    Shake well. Spray onto minor scrapes or irritated skin to disinfect and calm.
Diffuse while you work on setting goals for life, health, or business or while studying or focusing

Apply to wrists as a personal fragrance

Make this Calming Bath Soak for a little self care and to give tense or tired muscles some TLC:
  • ¼ cup pink Himalayan salt
  • ¼ cup magnesium flakes
  • 2 Tbsp sweet almond oil
  • 5 drops each Lavender, Tangerine, & Vetiver
Make this DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe:
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup pure organic shea butter
  • 1 Tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 40 drops total essential oils - a mix of Vetiver with Bergamot, Lavender, and Grapefruit
    Step 1 - Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, then add in vitamin E oil and whisk.
    Step 2 - Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved. Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
    Apply to the bottoms of your feet and/or the back of your neck while you unwind before bed.
Diffuse the grounding, earthy scent of Vetiver whenever you need a moment of calm, to support healthy sleep, or to help focus a scattered brain!
  • Rooted Calm - 4 drops Vetiver, 4 drops Lavender, 3 drops Cedarwood
  • Focus Flow - 3 drops Vetiver, 4 drops Peppermint, 3 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Lemon
  • Evening Embers - 5 drops Vetiver, 3 drops Orange, 2 drops Patchouli, 2 drops Cinnamon
  • Ground & Glow - 3 drops Vetiver, 3 drops Bergamot, 3 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Geranium
  • Sacred Stillness - 4 drops Vetiver, 4 drops Sandalwood, 3 drops Clary Sage
  • Back-to-Basics-  3 drops Vetiver, 3 drops Eucalyptus, 3 drops Tea Tree, 2 drops Lemon

A little about myself. I live in the Pacific Northwest in Washington State. I am married to a wonderful and supportive man named Sean since 2003 - all wonderful years. We have two smart and sassy daughters, Emmy is 10 and in 4th grade in the Mandarin Immersion program and Lilly is 6 and in kindergarten. I like to paper craft and make my own cards, I like to sew (though don’t have much time for that lately) and I just returned to belly dancing now that Lilly is getting bigger.


I’ve been using essential oils and infused products for since October 2015 and absolutely love this lifestyle and how it makes me and my family feel. I started my oily journey after sitting next to another mom at a play date.  We started talking about my infertility issues, and she suggested I try Young Living’s essential oils to support my hormones.  After a year of intentionally exercising, eating better, and using oils to support my hormones and emotions, I became pregnant with Lilly, right before my first time attending the International YL Convention in Salt Lake City in 2016. There is so much more to tell about this story, and I’m open and willing to share with you, if you are interested.
