Sometimes there are big transitions in life and sometimes it seems scary to open ourselves up to change. Lavender has a beautiful way of calming the central nervous system to help us be more open to change and gaining positive momentum.

- “Lavender is one of my favorite oils. I diffuse it every night with Cedarwood to help calm my kids. A few of my favorite ways to use it is to apply it topically with a roller, add a drop or two to my mascara to help my lashes grow, add it to my baths with Epsom salts for relaxation and add it to my skin serum I make with my oils. I pretty much use it for everything!”
- “Lavender was the oil that got me started with Young Living! I use it to support a restful night of sleep every night. It is a constant on my monthly order. I also love using 2-3 drops of lavender on wool dryer balls in a load of laundry.”
- “I love to diffuse it when we homeschool and it just brings the whole house into a calming frame of mind.”
- “Lavender is my 3 year old's favorite oil. When she gets an “owie” she always asks for it and a kiss. I love that it's that easy.”
- “Lavender is a go to oil for so many things. An odd use has been rubbing this on the bridge of my nose. Why? A few years back my eyes began watering and always felt like they had tiny rocks in them. Eye drops helped but that meant the rest of my life. I discovered lavender in the bridge of my nose stops all the effects and my eye doctor was pleased.”
- “I applied lavender on my sweet baby girl this morning as part of her wellness roller and currently it's going in our bedroom - my firefighter husband asked for it while he napped, regaining his rest from working through the flood down here. So grateful for the sweet gift that Lavender is to our family!”
- “I love lavender! I used mine today in my seasonal roller along with lemon, peppermint, and copaiba.”

- Can support the immune system when taken internally

- Beta-pinene - a powerful antioxidant, some studies have shown beta-pinene to support the body through inflammation, to help calm the mind and to ease the body from the ‘fight or flight' response
- Frustration is closely tied to our expectations (of ourselves, of others, or of a situation or outcome). The other side, or opposite feeling, of Frustration is Accomplishment. Most of the time when we feel frustrated is usually because we fear that we are not going to accomplish what we want to do/ feel/ or have happen! Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils suggests rubbing a drop or two of Lemon along the ribs, near the sternum (above the bile ducts), and focus on moving beyond your limitations or expectations. If we store up enough frustration that does not get resolved it turns to chronic anger, which is highly associated with liver and gallbladder discomfort or problems. So it's good to let the frustration go!
- Lack, or the feeling of emptiness- when we don't feel "Complete". The other side of Lack is Full. This also makes this oil great for the Enneagram 7s and Enneagram 4s! Releasing Emotional Patterns suggests rubbing Lemon over the heart and chest while focusing on our completeness and all that we currently possess.
- Stuck, the opposite of feeling Transformed and moving forward. When we feel stuck we fear experiencing life. So rubbing Lemon on the sinuses can be helpful for branching out and having new experiences and getting un-stuck! Note: do not use Lemon (or other citrus oils) on skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight within two hours.

- Essential oils: Cinnamon Bark, Vanilla, Clove, Believe, & Thieves
- Fresh cranberries and cinnamon sticks (optional)
Step 1 - Slice your oranges in circles to ¼ to ½ inch in thickness and arrange them on a non-stick surface or parchment paper. Step 2 - Leave the slices in the oven for about 5 hours, then shut the oven off and leave the oranges in there overnight or until completely cool. They will be fairly dry, but will continue to dry out over time. You don't want to over dry them in the oven because they can start to burn!

- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

- 1/4 tsp ground ginger (can add more for taste)

- 1 drop Clove Vitality
- Powdered sugar or cornstarch for coating
- Gather your ingredients, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all ingredients except the powdered sugar/cornstarch in a saucepan and heat to 300F. Whisk frequently while cooking to prevent sticking and check the coloring and consistency of the solution.
- After about 10-20 minutes, test the consistency by dropping a small of the solution amount into ice water. If the cough drop cracks, the solution is ready. If it is still chewy, then cook the mixture for 5 more minutes. Repeat as needed.
- Remove from the heat completely, add essential oils, and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Then, drop small circles onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dust lightly with powdered sugar or cornstarch (to prevent sticking together). Alternatively, wrap each cough drop in wax paper. Store in an airtight container away from heat or moisture.

- Your diffuser!
- A plastic decorative cauldron or galvanized pumpkin
- Orange & Clove essential oils
Step 1 - Poke a hole on the side/ bottom of the cauldron/pumpkin if plastic for the diffuser's cord. If using metal, simply set the diffuser in and lift the cord out the back.
Step 2 - Fill your diffuser with water, add oils, turn on. Add spider web or tissue paper on top of the cauldron as desired!
- To make a diffuser bomb - multiply the quantity of each oil by 10-20 and place in a dropper bottle with a pretty label. (You can also reuse old YL bottles and add a bamboo dropper top.)
- To make a 10mL roller - have the total number of drops around 30-50 and fill with carrier of choice.
- To make a 2oz spray - multiply the drops by 3-5, add a splash of witch haze and top with water in a glass spray bottle and add a label.
- 2 drops Clove
- 3 drops Orange
- 3 drops Cinnamon Bark
- 2 drops Nutmeg
- 3 drops Stress Away
- 3 drops Clove
- 2 drops Nutmeg
- 2 drops Vanilla
- 3 drops Cinnamon Bark
- 1 drop Vetiver
- 3 drops Sage
- 3 drops Nutmeg
- 4 drops Idaho Balsam Fir (or other tree oil)
- 4 drops Vanilla
- 4 drops Cinnamon Bark
- 2 drops Lemon
- 1 drop Nutmeg
- Organic wool dryer balls
- 3 drops each per ball - Cardamom, Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, & Vanilla
- Plastic pumpkins - real work as well but don't last as long
- Potting soil
- Small succulents
- Natural materials - wood slices, Spanish moss, small pine cones, wood rings, etc. (find them at the craft store)
- Essential oils of choice
Step 1 - Simply cut the top off of your pumpkin and scoop out the inside if you're using a real one.
Step 2 - Fill about 3/4 with soil, then plant 2-3 small succulents into the top.
Step 3 - Add moss, wood slices and rings, small pinecones, anything fall and festive that will soak in essential oils! Add 3-4 drops of oil to the porous materials for a 'diffuser' or spritz with a DIY room spray (witch hazel + water + EOs) every few days!
NOTE - If you use a real pumpkin, this will only last about a month at most. Using a plastic or ceramic pumpkin will extend the life of the diffuser/succulents indefinitely.
- Large grapevine wreath
- Dried florals of choice - eucalyptus, pampas grass, chrysanthemums, wheat stalks, etc.
- Large craft pine cones
- Craft/floral wire
- Essential oils of choice
Step 1 - Lay your grapevine wreath on a table and gather all dried florals or other items you wish to add to the wreath. Arrange the florals around the wreath as desired, securing them with floral wire.
Step 2 - Once finished, drop essential oils onto pine cones or grapevine for a passive diffuser!
- Pinecones gathered from your neighborhood, or unscented ones from the craft store
- Ceramic, glass, or stainless bowl
- Essential oils of choice
Step 1 - Preheat oven to 200°. Line an old baking sheet with aluminum foil and place pinecones on baking sheet. Bake pinecones for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Step 2 - Add pinecones to the bowl, then add essential oils of your choice about 30 total drops. Seal the bowl & shake so that the oils soak into the pinecones. Leave the bowl in a cool dark place for at least one week. The longer you can leave the bowl covered the better your pinecones will be scented.
Step 3 - Now they are ready to be displayed on your favorite tray!
- Pine cones in various sizes
- Yarn of desired color (or even dryer lint!)
- Essential oils
Step 1 - Gather your pine cones and spray with diluted Thieves Cleaner, then let sit overnight to dry.
Step 2 - Once dry, wrap the yarn around the pine cones as desired. You can wrap all of it in the center or cover the whole thing - it's up to you! Just weave the yarn through the individual ‘leaves' of the pine cone.
Step 3 - Drop a few drops of Cinnamon Bark essential oil (or your other favorite fall scents) onto the yarn and let it sit overnight. Store then next to the fireplace, and add 2-3 to the wood when starting a fire!

- Fill the rest of the way with water!
Step 1 - Use this to clean your pumpkins once before putting them all out (and try to keep them out of direct sunlight so they last even longer!), then spray as needed to preserve them as long as possible.
Step 2 - Spritz your pumpkins every other day to keep the squirrels away!!
- 3 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Coconut Oil
- 4 Eggs

Step 1 - Combine all of the ingredients except the Thieves Vitality in a saucepan over medium-high heat, and simmer for 5 minutes, whisking occasionally until it is slightly frothy on top.
Step 2 - Let cool for a few minutes and then add 1-2 drops of Thieves Vitality or spices. Use an immersion blender to stir or put it in a blender on high for 30 seconds.
Step 3 - Divide into 4 mugs and serve!
- 2 cups cooled strong coffee or espresso
- 3/4 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 drop Thieves Vitality (Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, Ginger, or Clove Vitality would all work!) - add oil to sweetener before blending

Step 1 - Grab your favorite coffee mug and line the bottom with maple syrup, about 1 tablespoon.
Step 2 - Pour the brewed coffee on top and stir gently to mix.
Step 3 - Add the milk and essential oil (if using) to the frother, hit the button once, and wait while it warms. When ready, pour the milk into your coffee, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a small drizzle of maple syrup or a small sprinkle of raw sugar if desired!
- Organic apple juice, about 3/4 of a bottle
- Organic pineapple juice, about 2 cups
- 10 drops Orange or Tangerine Vitality essential oil
- 5 drops Lemon Vitality Essential oil
- 5 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality Essential oil
- 3 drops Clove Vitality Essential oil
- 2 drop Nutmeg Vitality Essential oil
- Cinnamon sticks, dried cloves to taste
- Orange slices, lemon slices, fresh cranberries, apple slices to garnish
Step 1 - Fill a slow cooker, about 3/4 full with organic apple juice, then top with organic pineapple juice.
Step 2 - Add in essential oils and dried species and let simmer. Just before serving add plus orange slices, apples, cranberries, etc. to garnish!
- ½ Gallon Apple Cider
- 2 cups organic orange juice
- 2 cups organic pineapple juice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 10 drops Lemon Vitality
- 5 drops Orange or Tangerine Vitality
- 5 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality
- 3 drops Clove Vitality
- 1 drop Nutmeg Vitality
- Optional: whole cloves, orange peel, lemon peel
- Optional: Champagne
Step 1 - In a large sauce pan or dutch oven, combine apple cider, pineapple juice, orange juice, essential oils, cinnamon sticks and citrus peel and cloves (if using). Let simmer for about one hour, stirring occasionally.
Step 2 - Allow to cool, then remove the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange peel. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate.
Step 3 - When serving, pour the wassail mixture into a glass and fill about half full. Top with champagne or for a non-alcoholic version try adding Cran-Orange LaCroix or Trader Joe's Winter Sangria sparkling water! Garnish with orange slices or cranberries if you're feeling fancy!
Step 4 - You could make it and serve it hot too, just stop after the second step or use a slow cooker for the entire process. You can easily prep this at home and take to a gathering as well!
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 1 cup Kidscents lotion
- 4 drops Cardamom
- 2 drops Orange
- 1 drop Cinnamon bark
- 1 drop Clove
Mix all the ingredients together and let their imaginations run wild!
- Air dry clay
- Craft paper
- Rolling pin
- Craft paint (we like the metallic colors)
- Paint brushes
- Modge Podge gloss or other sealer
- Various leaves from your yard
Step 1 - Explore around your yard and gather your leaves! Cut out a piece of air dry clay, then roll it out about 1/2 inch thick, making sure your leaf will fit fully onto the clay.
Step 2 - Press your leaf (vein side down) onto the clay. Make sure all parts of the leaf press in so that you get all the pretty nuances of the leaf!
Step 3 - Remove the leaf from the clay, and cut around the outline with a knife (have adults do this part), then remove the excess air dry clay from around your imprint. Go around the perimeter of the leaf and gently press the sides up and in to create a small edge If adding oils, do so now.
Step 4 - Allow the clay to air dry and harden. We set ours on a baking rack so that both sides were exposed to air. After 24 hours they had hardened and were ready to paint!
Step 5 - Paint! Once the paint is dry, cover with a coat of Modge Podge gloss, then let that dry for 24 hours. After the coating is dry, have your children sign the back and write the year.
