The 3 B's....

What are the 3B's???

Body: 
What we put in our bodies is important! We need to refocus our education on relearning how to truly get our body back in balance! All the endless diets and supplementation, "calories in versus calories out," stress eating and restricting our food needs to end. It is a destructive cycle that actually creates more damage. 

Brain: 
Did you know our body issues are related to our brain?!In order for our body to function at optimal levels, our MENTAL health needs to be balanced!!We need to connect to the body AND Biome for optimal wellness. 

Biome: 
The biome is our GUT health and influences our body issues. It is really the center of our wellness! 

How can I Balance the 3 B's??

Exercise: Aim for 3 days of cardio and 2 days with weights each week. Increase your steps each day and find ways to just move more! 
Nutrition: Eat a balance of protein, carbs, fat and fiber. Start around 1,200-1,800 calories of good quality foods!
Stress Management: Develop regular habits to release stress. Sleep well. Focus on breathing. Meditate or Pray regularly. Journal. 
Evaluation: Regularly adjust your routine for your ever-changing wellness needs!

The 5R Protocol to Heal the Body and Brain!

Use a simple approach known as the 5R protocol to heal. Leaky gut is a condition characterized by increased intestinal permeability, and often associated with changes to gut bacteria.

Here are the 5 steps.

☝️REMOVE. Shift away from the standard American diet by removing gut triggers like gluten, dairy, alcohol, GMOs, chocolate, sugar, stress, and basically anything that makes your gut not feel good. You may also need treatment for parasites or gut infection to remove them. We also aim to, with the help of our care providers remove any medicines that we can.

✌️REPLACE digestive enzymes, acid, vitamins and minerals that have been depleted. Supplements like betaine HCl may be needed if there is too little stomach acid. Digestive enzymes, especially pancreatic enzymes may be needed. Chronic digestive disease may be a root cause of nutrient deficiencies, and B12, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, iron, or calcium and supplementation is a must.

3️⃣ REPOPULATE. You cannot heal the gut without carefully selecting probiotics and prebiotics. Supplements are basically a must, and they need to be strain specific and super high quality. Add in foods like leeks, artichokes, garlic, onions and bananas for prebiotic fibers and fermented foods like kimchi, kefir or kombucha to get more probiotic food.

4️⃣ REPAIR the lining of the gut. Feed the cells of the lining of your gut glutamine, and repair with supplements like arginine, selenium, molybdenum, aloe, slippery elm, or high quality collagen.

🖐REBALANCE. There is not a problem in the world not caused by stress or worsened by stress. Your gut will absolutely never heal under chronic stress. Supplements like glycine can help build serotonin, theanine can help increase GABA, and corn grass can help you fall asleep without sleep pattern disrupting melatonin.

Your gut can heal. And when it does….everything else begins to heal.

I used to be a body builder and gym-nut- But the "perfect storm" of events ended up disrupting my physical, mental and emotional health, creating imbalanced hormones, weight gain and a loss of self. I have struggled with Chronic Fatigue and negative emotions, such as self-loathing. Through my own journey, coupled with my professional training, I have learned many tools like the power of using Conscious Language and have expanded my knowledge about how emotions and language impact the body, how our environment contributes to our health and the body's well being, and how mindset matters! As I have improved my health and regained my sense of self, I am now on a mission! In this world, with all the emotional (and physical!) pains, I commit myself to helping other's learn and grow to be better, healthier versions of themselves. I am always learning about how to live a plant based, non toxic, chemical free life so that we can live out best lives!!

 As a professional, I am a licensed Mental Health/Art Therapist and Certified Life Coach. I work with a lot of folks who experience various degrees of trauma and anxiety. I value the amazing tools that I have learned-and continue to learn- that are effective in helping the clients I serve! I am an art therapist and I use aroma and apply a variety of integrative approaches in a holistic model with all my clients. I am a Christian practitioner and believe in the power of faith and in the capabilities of the amazing bodies we live in!

 
In my therapy practice, I specialize in trauma and addiction, as well as being a Registered Art Therapist. I work with kids of all ages, including adults! I am a Certified Aroma Freedom PractitionerCertified Emotion and Body Code Practitioner and a Certified Oola Life Coach and Mental Wellness Coach- so no matter what your struggle is, I have tools that can help you set goals, support wellness, build your faith and help you find purpose in your life! 

Personally....
I am still healing (it is an on-going journey of health) but am thriving more each day that passes. I am now an International Best Selling Author, as some of my story was published in a book collaboration that was published October 2021! I am a mom of two girls and a wife, a fitness lover and beach explorer. I enjoy a variety of music and love road trips. I wear Chacos and tank tops every day possible! I grew up in Wyoming but love living in the milder climate of Southern Oregon. I lam happy in warm weather and at the beach. I support my husband in his Art and Automotive Restoration business and in his hobby of restoring a '57 Oldsmobile. We are looking forward to taking it on a cross country trip in it when it is complete! We both cherish family and enjoy sharing new experiences together.
