The Importance of Omega-3s

Peace & Calming Essential Oil Blend

Up your skin game. Take advantage of the blue tansy glow and add a drop of Peace & Calming to your nightly moisturizer. Whip up this simple DIY Beauty Serum to make it easier in a 2 oz dropper bottle:
  • 20 drops each of Peace & Calming and Frankincense
  • 10 drops Manuka
  • Carrier oil of your choice (jojoba, argon, fractioned coconut, etc)
Treat your pores. Make a soothing skin spray with 2 oz of water and 10 drops of Peace & Calming (optional 10 drops of Lavender) for an easy, sun-ready refresh when the weather gets a little too toasty.

Young Living Room Spritzer

Making a simple room spray is a wonderfully easy way to use (and share!) your oils. We love to mix up the combinations seasonally and spray them all over the house to make things smell incredible! Here are a few of our favorite recipes.

All recipes are for a 2oz glass spray bottle. Add essential oils to the bottle, then add a splash of witch hazel, then fill with filtered water. Invert the bottle a few times before use. To use, simply spray onto desired surfaces - upholstered furniture, rugs, pet beds, faux or fresh greenery, etc!

We don't go anywhere without our oils no matter whether we are heading to the grocery store or heading out of the country! These little bottles of plant magic not only make us happy, they improve our experiences, help prevent things going awry, and help keep us going when we hit bumps in the road! Here are our best tips, tricks, hacks and more for traveling (no matter the time of year!)
How to Travel with Oils

Our oils go wherever we go! Often they are in our backpacks, purses and cars either on their own or in a cute oil organizer, but when you're traveling by plane or leaving the country you will want to store them differently.

  • For plane travel, place your oil bottles or rollers in a 1 quart ziploc bag just like you do with your other liquids & gels, making sure to tighten the lids. We recommend keeping them in your carry-on luggage to avoid any leaks.
  • Choose NingXia Red packets and place them in the zip top bag with the other liquids.
  • When flying internationally ALWAYS check their TSA regulations as some may vary by country.
  • Grab a supplement organizer and fill it out with your Young Living supplements (we love Inner Defense, Super C Chewables and ImmuPro for travel!)
  • Grab a Bon Voyage travel Pack for TSA-approved sizes of your favorite Young Living personal care products and a perfectly sized carrier.
Quick Travel Hacks

Sometimes a good hack or two makes all the difference!

  • Reuse an essential oil bottle and fill with liquid carrier oil as a convenient way to dilute your oils when needed.
  • Reuse Thieves Hand Sanitizer bottles to make TSA-approved sizes of your shampoo, conditioner, etc.
  • Roll up your diffuser plug and stick inside the diffuser, then add the covers back to make sure you don't forget it! We like to travel with the Desert Mist since it is plastic, and you can even forgo the outer cover to save space!
  • Premix diffuser blends in empty 5mL bottles for convenience -- think Thieves + Orange for when you arrive and Lavender, Valor and Frankincense for sweet sleep when traveling!
  • Utilize the packet versions of supplements: AlkaLime for happy bellies, KidScents MightyPro as an adult probiotic that doesn't need refrigeration, KidScents Unwind as a nightly magnesium supplement.

The oils and products you take with you will vary a bit depending on your destination, but these ten are ones we always have with us when we travel!

Motion Sickness Tamers

Travel excitement can quickly take a nose dive when you or someone else is feeling queasy with motion sickness. Here are our best tips to tame that feeling!

  • Peppermint - ALL the Peppermint! Inhale straight from the bottle, dilute and apply over the chest, throat, shoulders and back of the neck, diffuse in the car if possible.
  • AromaEase - Dilute this blend and apply it over the abdomen, along the back of the neck ideally starting before the motion sickness hits. 
  • DIY Tummy Tamer Tumbler:
    • Fill a large glass/tumbler with water and ice
    • Add 1 drop DiGize Vitality, 2-3 drops Lemon Vitality
    • Option to add 1 drop Peppermint Vitality
    • Drink as tolerated, ideally start before the motion sickness gets too bad
  • DIY Motion Tamer Roll-on:
    • 10-20 drops each Peppermint, Ginger, Frankincense
    • Carrier of choice
    • Roll over the abdomen liberally and frequently
  • Hydration with minerals/electrolytes - Try to start the trip super hydrated and maintain that as much as possible throughout. Add Mineral Essence and Lemon Vitality to your water, bring the Lavender Lemonade Vitality Drops with you on a plane, or even mix in AminoWise to a bottle of water.
Camping Necessities

Ohhh the great outdoors! We love getting outside and exploring, and naturally, we take all our favorite oils and products with us to keep everyone happy and healthy.

Citronella, Geranium + a battery-powered diffuser - When you're lounging at your campsite with a book in hand, this combo will be your BFF! Fill a battery-powered diffuser with 5-7 drops each Citronella and Geranium essential oils and enjoy the delicious aroma and pest-free zone!

Insect Repellent & Insect Repellent Wipes - This formula effectively prevents mosquito, flea, and tick bites, so you can enjoy the great outdoors worry free!

Insect Repellent Spray Hack -  Grab the Insect Repellent bottle and make it into a spray for easy use:
  • Continuous spray bottle or an empty Thieves Spray bottle
  • Bottle of YL Insect Repellant
  • 3 TBSP fractionated coconut oil or ClaraDerm Cooling Mist
  • 20 drops Citronella essential oil
  • Add all items to the spray bottle, but add the insect repellent last (it will not all fit!) 
DIY Outdoor Spray - If you live in a state that has shipping exclusions for the Insect Repellant, try the wipes! Still can't order because of limitations? You can also add a spray top directly to your bottle of Citronella.
  • Small continuous spray bottle or an empty Thieves  Spray Bottle
  • 25 drops each Citronella, Geranium, Lemongrass, Lavender
  • 20 drops Eucalyptus Radiata, Tea Tree
  • V-6 Vegetable Oil carrier or carrier of choice or ¼ part Witch Hazel to ¾ part Distilled Water
  • Note: If you want to use a larger bottle, simply double the recipe. Also if you feel you need a stronger formula or are extremely susceptible to outdoor pests add more Citronella, Lemongrass and/or Geranium! 
DIY Itch Stick - for those times you forget your insect repellent!
  • In a rollerball, combine 10 drops Purification, 10 drops Lavender + 10 drops Lemon, and top with a carrier oil. Roll on bug bites & itches.
Lavender Essential Oil - We don't call this the Swiss Army Knife for no reason! Someone needs a little calm? Grab your Lavender. Skin saw too much sun? Grab your Lavender. Little one stepped in an ant bed? Grab your Lavender. Blooming flowers got you down? Grab your Lavender!

Mineral Sunscreen - Hands-down, the Young Living Mineral Sunscreen is our favorite sunscreen. It checks all of our boxes -- reef-safe, effective, all natural, great for all skin types, non-nano zinc, won't clog pores. What else is there?! 

Mineral Sunscreen Spray Hack:
  • Continuous spray bottle
  • Bottle of YL Mineral Sunscreen
  • 5 TBSP fractionated coconut oil or ClaraDerm Cooling Mist

Travel can sometimes give our immune systems a run for their money, so we start giving them extra support a couple of weeks before travel when possible! Purification Essential Oil Blend

Purification essential oil blend is a combination of Citronella, Lavandin, Lemongrass, Myrtle, Rosemary, and Tea Tree that is formulated for diffusing to neutralize and cleanse your home and work environment. It is also soothing to your skin for everyday irritations.

Add to wool dryer balls to give your laundry a bright-smelling boost.

Place a few drops of Purification on cotton balls and stash them anywhere that can use additional freshness: air vents, drawers, shoes, gym bags, rain boots, garbage cans, etc.

Drop Purification directly into areas that need some freshening - rain boots, forgotten laundry, diaper pails, etc.

Make a DIY Carpet & Rug Freshener. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:
  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup Dead Sea Salt
  • 20 drops Purification
  • 20 drops Lemon
    Mix well. When ready to use, sprinkle over carpets and let sit for 10 minutes before vacuuming.
Make a DIY Laundry Scent Booster. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:
Use Purification in the car with Young Living's Car Vent Diffuser to fight lingering food and gym bag odors.

Add Purification to a glass spray bottle with water and spritz it on linens and/or add to Thieves Household Cleaner.

Use Purification to support healthy airways.

Apply it topically to calm everyday skin irritations or use to spot-treat blemishes 

Try this T-Zone Roller. In a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 10-15 drops each Lemon, Lavender, & Purification
  • Jojoba oil or carrier of choice
Indulge in this DIY Bath Soak for a little TLC:
Make this incredible DIY Hand Salve for soothing dry skin (more than just hands!).
  • 1/2 cup cold pressed organic olive oil (or 1 cup if not using arnica oil)
  • 1/2 cup organic arnica oil
  • 1 tbsp shea butter
  • 2 tbsp unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 3-4 tbsp beeswax pastilles
  • 40 drops essential oils - Purification, Frankincense, Lavender, Patchouli alone or in combination. (For a masculine scent - Sandalwood, Vetiver, Idaho Blue Spruce.)
    Step 1 - Using a double boiler, place several inches of water in the bottom and place a bowl or pan on top. Turn the heat to low-medium and add the olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax and allow it to melt, stirring gently.
    Step 2 - Remove the bowl from the double boiler. Add Vitamin E oil and essential oils.
    Step 3 - Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes to cool but not harden, then pour into the small containers.

Make this Dry Skin Bath Soak. Adding oatmeal to the bath is helpful for more acute skin needs, especially for children.
Make this nourishing DIY Goat Milk Soap.
  • 2 lb melt and pour soap base
  • 1/2 cup powdered goat milk
  • 2 tbsp organic raw honey
  • 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
  • 60 drops essential oils of choice (Purification, Tangerine, Cedarwood, Lavender - alone or in combination)
  • Soap molds
  • Dried flowers (optional)
    Step 1 - Chop soap base into cubes and melt using a double boiler.
    Step 2 - Whisk in remaining ingredients and pour into soap molds. Let sit overnight.
Give your skin and your joints some love with this Soothing ACV Bath Soak. Mix all together and add to your bath water with the ACV.
Add 5 drops of Purification to a large handful of massage oil and apply to the skin to support the airways. Or whip up a DIY Massage Oil. To a 4 oz pump bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Purification essential oil blend
  • 10 drops Lemon essential oil
  • Fill with carrier of choice
Diffuse this purifying oil to help cleanse and freshen your space.
Morning Sunshine - 3 drops each Purification, Lemon, Jade Lemon, & Tangerine
Happy Noses - 4 drops Purification, 3 drops each Lemon & R.C.
Fresh Laundry - 4 drops each Purification, Tangerine, & Lavender
Travel Buddy - 4 drops each Purification & Thieves, 2 drops Lemon

Bergamot Essential Oil

Bergamot is a household staple oil for so many things! The crisp, citrusy aroma is uplifting and harmonizing, and it makes a wonderful addition to DIYs and diffuser blends. This oil is one we love to have around!

Use Bergamot in your household DIYs

Add 20 drops of Bergamot to your Thieves Household Cleaner for a fresh twist. 

Add a few drops to Wool dryer balls for crisp laundry.

Use to make a Laundry Scent Booster:
Add Bergamot to your daily skincare and self-care routine

Make a Happy Heart roller for daily cardiovascular support:
  • 10 mL roller bottle
  • 20 drops Bergamot
  • 15 drops each Lavender, Cypress, & Rosemary
  • Carrier of choice
Add to your moisturizer or make this Daily Glow Serum: 
  • 2 oz dropper bottle
  • 10 each drops Frankincense, Sandalwood, & Bergamot
  • Carrier of choice
Make a Cologne Roller:
  • 10 mL roller bottle
  • 15 drops Bergamot & Valor
  • 10 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce
  • Carrier of choice
Make a Keep Calm roller and apply it frequently throughout the day. Apply over the heart, wrists, neck, chest as desired.
  • 10 mL roller bottle
  • 10 drops each Valor, Frankincense, Stress Away, & Bergamot 
  • Fill with carrier
Use Bergamot in an after shave oil or balm:
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup shea butter
  • 20-30 drops total essential oils (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Ylang ylang)
    Step 1 - In a small pot, combine coconut oil and shea butter on medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and add essential oils. Mix well.
    Step 2 - Let cool in the fridge for 30–45 minutes or until the mixture is no longer clear. It should have a soft texture. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, whip the product for about 2–3 minutes or until it looks like foam and forms peaks. Store in a glass jar at room temperature.
Try a simple natural deodorant with equal parts Patchouli and Bergamot plus carrier in a 30 mL roller bottle.

Diffuse with Bergamot

Diffuse this uplifting citrus oil any time of day:
  • Mulled Cider - 4 drops Christmas Spirit, 3 drops Bergamot, 2 drops each Clove & Grapefruit
  • Golden Hour - 4 drops each Lavender, Frankincense, & Bergamot
  • Warm Hug - 3 drops Lavender, Bergamot, Grapefruit + 2 drops Vanilla
  • Spring Wreath - 4 drops Eucalyptus, 3 drops Bergamot, 3 drops Lemon, 2 drops Lime
  • Deep Breath - 4 drops each Bergamot, Lemon, & R.C.

SulfurZyme Supplement

Sulfurzyme combines wolfberry with MSM, a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur needed by our bodies every day to maintain the structure of proteins, protect cells and cell membranes, replenish the connections between cells, and preserve the molecular framework of connective tissue. This supplement not only supports digestion, it promotes healthy hair, skin, nails, joints and immunity!

  • Take 2 capsules 2 times daily or as needed 1 hour before or after meals.

According to two-time Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling: “You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency.” Trace minerals are incredibly important for our overall health. The body requires nearly two thirds of all the elements currently known to man in order to support optimal health, cognitive function and overall performance, and keeping these minerals in balance is a complex, yet incredibly vital task. The events of everyday living demand a continual ingestion of minerals, ideally from the diet, but given current farming practices, it just isn't enough.

Why do we need Minerals?

Traditionally, eating fresh, sprouted grains, fruits, and vegetables grown in nutrient-rich soil has been the primary supply for a full spectrum of ionic minerals. Unfortunately in today's world, naturally occurring, nutrient-rich soil is becoming increasingly rare. Decades and decades of vegetation growth and aggressive modern farming techniques have brought many of the earth's minerals to the surface where they have been washed away. Synthesized fertilizers are routinely applied to farms and fields where minerals have been depleted, but man-made fertilizers provide only enough mineral substance to support basic plant life.

And just like so many other areas of our health, we can achieve our goals with supplementation! Mineral Essence is a balanced, full-spectrum ionic mineral complex enhanced with essential oils. It contains sixty ionic minerals including iron, zinc, silicon, fluorine, boron, lithium, sodium, sulfur, magnesium, chloride, selenium, thallium, calcium, and potassium as well as peppermint, cinnamon bark and lemon essential oils. The addition of essential oils helps the body absorb all these ionic minerals, making them more bioavailable (and useful!) to our bodies instead of just passing through.

The following deficiencies have been linked to many health issues -- including those that affect our emotional health -- and all of these deficiencies can be improved with Mineral Essence!

  • Selenium - an essential component of a key antioxidant enzyme, also necessary for normal growth and development.
  • Sulfur - required for muscle protein and helps with soft, healthy hair.
  • Zinc - found in every fluid, tissue, cell and organ throughout the human body with high concentrates in the brain. Inadequate intake can affect over 200 enzymes involved in digestion, metabolism, reproduction and wound healing.
  • Cinnamon bark essential oil - antiviral, antibacterial and a strong antioxidant. It also contains high levels of phenols – oxygenating compounds which function as catalysts.
  • Lemon essential oil - promotes leukocyte production, which is an important factor in the immune system.
  • Peppermint essential oil - antibacterial and a first-rate support for the immune system, also supports digestion
As with all other Young Living supplements, the addition of essential oils to Mineral Essence is key! The essential oils have their own benefits for the body, but they also enhance the bioavailability of the minerals, making Young Living's Mineral Essence superior to any mineral supplement on the market!

Daily Habits with Mineral Essence
Add Mineral Essence to your daily supplement routine!

Take 5 half-droppers (1 ml each) morning and evening or as needed as a mineral supplement. May be added to 4-8 oz. of distilled/purified water or juice before drinking. We recommend adding to cranberry juice if needed as the supplement has a spicy, mineral flavor. Shake well before using and refrigerate after opening. 

Apply Mineral Essence to the skin or mix with epsom salts in the bath to allow for absorption through the skin! Note, however, that this route of administration will provide less absorption than ingestion.

Use Mineral Essence to promote hair growth and recovery. Simply drop Mineral Essence onto the scalp and massage in gently. Let sit for 20-30 minutes, then wash hair with gentle, sulfate-free shampoo.

Add Mineral Essence to your daily NingXia Red for even more robust results.

Make a mineralizing mouthwash:
  • Mix ½ bottle of Thieves Fresh Essence Mouthwash with ½ bottle of Mineral Essence and shake well.
Try this Golden Mango Sunrise Tonic for daily health and longevity:
  • 2-4 oz NingXia Red
  • 5 half droppersful Mineral Essence
  • ½ tsp Golden Turmeric powder
  • Organic low-sugar lemonade or pineapple juice
  • Mineral or coconut water + ice as desired

The 2023 Summer Handbook

Hello summer. Warm weather, sunshine-filled days and vacations (or staycations) are on the agenda, and we are ready for it all - with our favorite oils and Young Living products in tow! Here are some of our best tips, tricks, recipes and DIYs for enjoying the summer months to the fullest.
Summer Skin

Two simple steps for getting that beach body:
1. Have a body.
2. Go to the beach.

Of course, it wouldn't hurt if our skin was smooth & glowing too right?! A few of our favorite summer body DIYS!

Margarita Body Scrub via Hello Glow
  • 1/2 cup salt (You can use regular salt, kosher salt or leftover margarita salt)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons tequila
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • A few drops of Lime EO
    Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until you have a paste. Add more olive oil if needed. Then scrub away in the shower. One note of caution – use the scrub before you shave, not after, because it might burn. The tequila and lime juice are natural antiseptics, the salt exfoliates any dead skin, and the olive oil adds lots of moisture! 
Grapefruit Body Smoothing Oil
  • Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil
  • Grapefruit Essential Oil
    In your hands, mix together one pump of Cel-Lite Magic + one drop of Grapefruit. Massage into legs and arms in a circular motion. Continue on any areas that need a little extra smoothing & get your beauty sleep! Be sure to shower before going out in the sun! 
DIY Summer Glow Serum
Ditch all the other moisturizers and serums because this one is the game changer! Apply morning and evening for healthy, glowing skin. (PS - CBD Beauty Boost has been nicknamed ‘Botox in a Bottle' so you know it's good!)
DIY Vitamin C Facial Toner
Vitamin C and Geranium are a dynamic duo when it comes to brightening the skin. Try out this simple toner as we head into the summer!
  • 2 oz glass dropper bottle
  • 1&1/2 tsp Organic vitamin C powder 
  • 5 drops Geranium essential oil
  • 3 Tbsp distilled water
  • Splash alcohol-free witch hazel (optional for more oil-prone skin)
    Mix vitamin C powder into the water until dissolved, then add Geranium and top with a splash of witch hazel (optional). Use morning and evening or as desired.
    Store up to 2 weeks at room temperature or longer in the fridge. 
Moisturizing Oatmeal Soak
Sun and wind and heat can leave the skin needing a little extra moisture. Give your skin (and your whole self!) some TLC with a long, luxurious soak with these simple but effective ingredients.
Wellness 101

School may be out for the summer, but we aren't getting lax on our wellness routines. Summer is a great time to really focus on great daily wellness habits that we can continue when the colder months arrive! Here are five simple things we're dong everyday this summer to focus on true self-care and overall health.

  • 25 drops each Thieves, Pine & Lemon
  • 20 drops each Geranium & Frankincense
  • fill with a carrier oil of choice
    Note: If you plan to be in direct sunlight, apply this somewhere your clothing will cover.
Diffusing 24/7
If we are awake (and even overnight too), our diffuser is on . Diffusing is such an incredible health habit. Not only will your home or office (and car too) smell amazing, you get the health benefits of breathing in the oils.

  • Start the morning off with Raven + Lemon to get everyone going and support the airways
  • Set the stage for a peaceful midday rest with Lavender + Grapefruit + Vanilla.
  • Bring the 'afternoon pick-me-up' vibes of a cup of coffee with Peppermint + Tangerine + Stress Away.
  • End your day with Thieves + Cedarwood to boost immunity and promote restful sleep.
Ditching and Switching
One of the biggest impacts you can have on your health is by ditching conventional products that are FULL of toxins and fragrance. Sadly these ingredients are often hidden or disguised by clever marking (greenwashing anyone?) or renamed as things that sound more natural. Here are a few simple swaps to make this summer.

Sweet Summertime DIYs

Mermaid Hair Salt Mist - For mermaid-inspired waves any day of the week! In a 4 oz. glass spray bottle, add:
  • Warm water 
  • 1 tsp fine grain sea salt
  • 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
  • 10 drops each Lavender, Grapefruit, Rosemary
    Mix water and salt gently, then add in remaining ingredients and shake to combine. Spray it in your hair after towel drying & get soft, beachy waves!!
Mermaid Hair Detangler Spray - for soft, smooth post-pool locks!
  • 1 bottle Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood Hydrosol
  • 1 Tbsp Copaiba Vanilla Conditioner
  • 10 drops each Lavender, Rosemary, Grapefruit
    Add essential oils and conditioner to the bottle of Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood Hydrosol and shake well. Use after a shower as a detangler!
DIY Nail Polish Remover - a non-tox way to have pretty nails and toenails!
  • 2 oz glass dropper bottle
  • 2-3 drops each Grapefruit, Orange essential oils
  • 5-6 drops Lemon essential oil
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • White vinegar
    Add essential oils to the bottle, then fill the remaining amount of the bottle with 2/3 rubbing alcohol and 1/3 vinegar. Gently shake gently to mix. Add solution to a cotton pad and wipe your nails clean. Voila!
Fun in the Sun

'Tis the season for hot, sunshine-filled days, and we want to soak in every second of it while staying safe and health. Here are our top three necessities for safe, healthy fun in the sun.


Hands-down, the Young Living Mineral Sunscreen is our favorite sunscreen. It checks all of our boxes - reef safe, effective, all natural, great for all skin types, non-nano zinc, won't clog pores. What else is there?

Quick Tip - Make YL's Mineral Sunscreen application easy with this hack! Makes it even easier to apply, especially with kids by adding some to your hands and apply to the face.


LavaDerm After Sun Spray is your first aid kit BFF! LavaDerm brings relief from the pain and itching of minor burns, cuts, sunburns, scrapes, insect bites, or really any minor skin irritation. Whether or not your skin has seen a little too much sun or wind, this spray will help you feel soothed and refreshed. Apply after a day outdoors for a sigh of relief.

Quick Tip - If you need some relief ASAP and don't have any LavaDerm on hand, try this DIY After Sun Spray:

No one wants to come in from a wonderful day outdoors with tons of itchy bites from outdoor pests... and you won't have to with the Young Living Insect Repellent! This liquid formula effectively prevents mosquito, flea, and tick bits - so you can enjoy the great outdoors worry free.

This incredible formula is gentle enough for the little ones, yet effective. You can use an empty Thieves Surface Spray bottle for easy applications. It is also available as wipes, with makes application on the go super easy!

Grab the Insect Repellent bottle and make it into a spray for easy use:
  • Continuous spray bottle
  • Bottle of YL Insect Repellent
  • 3 tbsp fractioned coconut oil or ClaraDerm Spray
  • 20 drops Citronella essential oil
    Add all items to the spray bottle, but add the insect repellent last (it will not all fit!)
Quick Tip - If you live in a state that has shipping exclusions for the Insect Repellant, try the wipes! Still can't order because of limitations - add a spray top directly to your bottle of Citronella. Also try this DIY Outdoor Spray. To a small continuous spray bottle, add:
  • 25 drops each Citronella, Geranium, Lemongrass, & Lavender
  • 20 drops Eucalyptus Radiata & Tea Tree
  • V-6 Vegetable Oil or carrier of choice
    Note: if you want to use a larger bottle, simply double the recipe. Also, if you feel you need a stronger formula or are expertly susceptible to outdoor pests, add more Citronella, Lemongrass and/or Geranium.
Citronella, Lemongrass and/or Geranium!
DIY Itch Stick - for those times you forget your insect repellent! In a rollerball, combine 10 drops Purification, 10 drops Lavender, and 10 drops Lemon, and top with a carrier oil. Roll on bug bites & itches.

Quick tip! - Dining outside & want to keep the bugs away? Grab an outdoor fan, put a few drops of Citronella + Geranium on a clothespin (or two!) & attach to the front of the fan & you have yourself a giant outdoor diffuser!
Photosensitive Oils

Summer and citrus oils are synonymous, and we are all about using citrus oils this time of year. As always, we want to keep everyone healthy and safe, so make sure to separate application of citrus oils and exposure to sunlight. As a general rule, avoid direct UV exposure to an area where you applied citrus oils for a minimum of 12 hours, up to 48 hours.

WHY?
Citrus Oils (and some others) contain natural molecules that react with sunlight and cause sensitivity to the skin. All of the Young Living oils and blends that contain these compounds re labeled with a warming to avoid sun/UV light for 12 to 48 hours after applying.

Does that mean you have to put your beloved Grapefruit and Bergamot away for the summer? NO WAY! Just apply to areas that won't be exposed to the sun for at least 24 hours (basically under your clothes). And you can always diffuse.
Beach Essentials

Summertime and beach trips are synonymous, and we are ready for all the sunshine and sand. Here's what we're packing in our beach bags this year.

Quick tip - Easily remove all the sand from everyone's feet, legs, and hands with Seedlings Baby Wipes. We keep a pack in every bag for easy sand removal and clean, fresh hands.

Daily Red is a thing in our household - everyone gets their NingXia Red every day! And whether we just want to mix thing up a bit or want a healthier alternative to conventional options, these NingXia Red recipes are favorites in our summer rotation.

Superfood Lemonade Popicles
These simple, delicious popsicles are a HUGE hit in our house, and my kids love to help make them. The best part is you can't mess them up. There isn't a specific amount of each ingredient needed, so just pour a little of each item into your mold and go.
Quick Tip - Heading out to the pool, beach or a hike? Simply freeze your NingXia packets overnight, then pack in a plastic bag and enjoy that afternoon as a cool, slushy-like treat.

Anytime NingXia Spritzers
Whether you're pool side, riding in the car or simply lounging on your couch or porch, this spritzer is the perfect companion. But be warned, your kids/friends/husband will want to setal it.
Go Red Electrolyte Replacement
Ditch the artificially flavored and colored electrolyte drinks and whip up your own with this simple recipe. You can also always grab the Lavender Lemonade or Grapefruit Bergamot Vitality Drops for a quick electrolyte boost as well.
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 4 oz NingXia Red
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt
  • 1-2 drops Young Living Vitality of choice: Tangerine, Orange, Lime, Citrus Fresh or Grapefruit
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    Mix all ingredients in a blender with some ice for one of the most refreshing drinks EVER. You could even do this without a blender - just throw everything in a shaker cup and enjoy.
Summer Blockbuster Diffuser Blends

Summertime movies on the lawn anyone? These blends are reminiscent of warm nights in the grass watching our favorite movies with our favorite people.

Sweet Magnolias - 4 drops Orange + 3 drops Vanilla + 3 drops Grapefruit + 2 drops Lime
Emily in Paris - 4 drops Jasmine + 3 drops Tangerine + 3 drops Ylang Ylang + 2 drops Lime
Yellowstone - 4 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce + 3 drops Bergamot + 3 drops Vanilla + 2 drops Clove
Grease - 4 drops Stress Away + 3 drops Neroli or Orange + 4 drops Jasmine
The Sandlot - 5 drops KidPower (or Valor + Vanilla) + 3 drops Ylang Ylang + 3 drops Lavender

It's summertime and we're ready to enjoy the sun and the fun, but what if we constantly feel the need to cover up, hide, and avoid showing our skin? What if we're constantly worried about exposure to the outside world and wishing we looked and felt differently? Look no further. 

First, your body is epic. It tells a story of you and your experiences, and we just love it. We want to help you love it too! Second, we have this tendency to OVERDO it. So before you have drastic surgeries, start overhauling your whole diet, and bench press 500 pounds, how about we discuss some small and simple steps to start you on your journey? Are you in?

What you will do:
  • Take one scoop of Inner Beauty Collagen with water, Ningxia, or a smoothie.

Grapefruit Essential Oil

A natural cross of the pomelo and the sweet orange, grapefruit likely originated in Jamaica before spreading to America and throughout citrus-growing areas. Today this evergreen tree is cultivated in the United States, South Africa, Brazil, and Israel.

Grapefruit essential oil has a zesty, uplifting aroma that refreshes the air when diffused. It also provides cleansing action, making it a popular addition to skin care and home cleaning products.

Add Grapefruit to your favorite roller blends for some happy citrus zest! To a 10 mL roller bottle, add the following essential oils with a carrier oil of your choice. (Note: do not apply citrus oils to skin that will be directly exposed to the sunlight within 2 hours.)
  • Keep Calm & Carry On: 20 drops Stress Away, 15 drops each Grapefruit & Lavender
  • Liquid Sunshine: 20 drops Grapefruit, 15 drops each Tangerine & Lemon, 10 drops Bergamot
  • Flower Garden: 20 drops Grapefruit, 15 drops Ylang Ylang, 10 drops Bergamot
  • Golden Hour: 20 drops Grapefruit, 15 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce or Idaho Blue Spruce, 10 drops Germanium or Joy
Make these lovely Citrus Rind Diffusers (recipe via Hello Glow). Hollow out the fruit. In a small bowl mix the sea salt and essential oils well. Fill fruit rinds with the sea salt and oil mixture. Replace every 3-4 days.
Grapefruit Cedarwood:
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 15 drops Cedarwood (gift with purchase this month)
  • 5 drops Grapefruit essential oil
  • 3 drops Sage essential oil
  • 1.5 cups coarse sea salt
  • Fresh sage leaves for garnish (optional)
Lemon Rosemary:
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup coarse sea salt
  • 15 drops Rosemary essential oil
  • 10 drops Grapefruit essential oil
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Rosemary Lime Mint:
  • 1 lime
  • 1 cup coarse sea salt
  • 10 drops Rosemary essential oil
  • 10 drops Lime essential oil
  • 5 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Winter skin needing a little love? Whip up this Grapefruit Salt Scrub:
Make this Grapefruit Lip Scrub for soft, happy lips:
  • 10 drops Grapefruit
  • 5 drops Vanilla (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
    Whip coconut oil with a mixer, then add in sugar and essential oils and mix again. Store in a glass jar. Apply nightly to lips in a circular motion. Wipe off with a drop towel.
Whip up this DIY Toning Oil to use after hitting the gym to work on your resolutions. To a 2 or 4 oz pump or dropper bottle, add:
  • 10 drops each Rosemary, Grapefruit, Fennel, Juniper
  • 5 drops each Geranium, Cypress
  • Fill with V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex
    Massage onto problem areas as desired.
Spice up your Thieves Cleaner with a fresh, crisp recipe. To a 16 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 1-2 tsp Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 20 drops Grapefruit essential oil
  • 15 drops each Tangerine & Lemon essential oil
  • 15 drops Eucalyptus Radiata
  • Fill the rest with filtered water
Bring a little light to your winter body butter by combining Winter Nights essential oil blend and Grapefruit in this DIY Whipped Body Butter recipe.
  • 1/2 cup unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • 20 drops Grapefruit essential oil
  • 15 drops Winter Nights essential oil blend
    Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, then add in Vitamin E oil and whisk.
    Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 - 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved.
    Add in essential oils, then place in a glass jar.
Diffuse this happy citrus oil to bring a little bit of sunshine to your home:
  • Herb Garden: Grapefruit, Lemon, Basil
  • Spring Breeze: Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Valor
  • Cozy Home: Grapefruit, Lavender, Vanilla
  • Keep Calm: Grapefruit, Stress Away, Bergamot

A: One scoop per day is recommended with water or other liquid.

Q: What if I already have a different Young Living massage oi
A: This particular blend of oils is supportive to the lymphatic system and the skin. You won't see the same results with a different blend although there will still be benefits.

Q: What if I want to make my own massage oil?
A: Grab a bottle of V6 or other carrier oil, add at least 30 drops of grapefruit, cypress, juniper, cedarwood, and clary sage oils and shake.

Q: What if I'm gluten fre
A: Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil does contain a small amount of wheat germ oil. While most gluten sensitive people do fine with this oil topically, in order to avoid, follow the DIY recipe above and replace the V6 with almond oil, jojoba, or another carrier of your choice.

DiGize Essential Oil

DiGize is another oil to always have on hand. It is our go-to for digestive support anytime we need it - both daily and acutely. Make sure to grab this one before you head out to all your summer gatherings!

Add DiGize to V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex or other carrier and massage it over the abdomen to soothe digestive needs.

Make a ‘Tummy' roller to apply over the stomach as needed for digestive support. To a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 15 drops DiGize
  • 10 drops each Lemon & Peppermint (optional)
  • Carrier of choice
Apply DiGize diluted or in a roller over the stomach and liver to support release of toxic emotions. This works best when paired with strong affirmations and/or prayer.
 
When traveling, inhale DiGize directly from the bottle for soothing comfort. Or pair it with Peppermint in a travel diffuser.

DiGize Vitality is the exact same oil as DiGize essential oil blend, simply labeled differently so it can be ingested. That means you can use the DiGize Vitality the same way you would DiGize essential oil blend - in the diffuser and in all your favorite roller blends as well.

Citronella Essential Oil

Citronella is well know for its love of the outdoors (but not the outdoor annoyances!), but did you know that this lemony oil is also incredibly versatile? It's one of the main ingredients in the Purification oil blend, so anytime you'd use Purification, try Citronella. Citronella is cleansing and purifying, making it great for cleaning, gentle detoxing and clarifying. It is also a great addition to massage oil for supporting healthy circulation and the body's natural response to tension.

Summer often means lots of time in damp places. Give your feet a little daily TLC and protect them with this Happy Feet Blend. Make as a roller (use fractionated coconut oil or V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex as the carrier) or as a cream to apply after a day at the pool in a public shower.
  • 10 drops Citronella
  • 5 drops Tea Tree
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
Drop Citronella into gym shoes, rain boots, the basket of pool towels, diaper pails or any other damp spaces that need a little refreshing.

Citronella can be a great addition to your favorite DIY natural deodorant recipe, especially when summer months find you sweating more.

Cleanse and condition your hair and scalp and remove build up from water, styling products, and chlorine with this DIY Clarifying Shampoo.
  • Young Living Bath and Shower Gel Base
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 40 drops Citronella
  • 20 drops Lavender
    Add vinegar and essential oils to a large pump bottle, then add in the Bath & Shower Gel Base and mix well.
    Alternatively, you can pour out some of the Bath & Shower Gel Base, then add the oils and vinegar directly to the bottle.
Give tired, sore muscles some love and support healthy circulation with citronella. It's also great for Charlie horses and supports the body's natural response to inflammation. You can use it on its own or make a simple Circulation Massage Oil to use every day or as desired.
Use Citronella to support healthy airways with this DIY Breathe Massage Oil. To a 4 oz pump bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Citronella essential oil
  • 10 drops Lemon essential oil
  • Fill with carrier of choice
Use the cleansing power of Citronella in your cleaning routine. Add to your cleaning DIYs, Thieves Cleaner, etc. to kick the germs without the harsh chemicals. (Citronella is high in methyl isoeugenol, so its a great cleaning companion.)

Make this DIY Dishwasher & Washing Machine Cleaner that can be used of the washing machine or dishwasher. Mix powders together in an airtight glass jar, then mix in Citronella. Add 2 tbsp to the floor of your dishwasher and run on a hot cycle. You can also place 1 cup of white vinegar + 2 capfuls Thieves Household Cleaner in a glass bowl in the top rack to further disinfect. To use in a washing machine, add 4 tbsp of mixture into the drum of the machine and run a hot cycle. Option to add 2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner to the detergent bay for extra cleaning.
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp citric acid
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp washing soda
  • 20 drops Citronella
Give hard water stains the boot and get sparkling clean dishes with this DIY Dish Detergent Booster. Mix well and store in an airtight jar.
  • 1 cup citric acid
  • 40 drops Citronella essential oil
    Add 1-2 tsp to the dishwasher soap reservoir along with the soap and run according to manufacturer directions.
Deodorize and deep clean linens, towels, or clothing with DIY Laundry Stripping Solution.
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup borax
  • 1/2 cup Thieves Laundry Soap
  • 1/3 cup Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 30 drops Citronella
    Add all ingredients to extremely hot water and allow linens or clothing to soak up to 2 hours. Stir the clothing and gently press to release dirt and grime every 20 minutes or so. You can soak longer for tougher situations as desired.
    Wring the linens as dry as possible and wash per usual.
Add to wool dryer balls to give your laundry a bright-smelling boost.

Place a few drops of Citronella on cotton balls and stash them anywhere that can use additional freshness: air vents, drawers, shoes, gym bags, rain boots, garbage cans, etc.

Drop directly into areas that need some refreshing - rain boots, forgotten laundry, diaper pails, etc.

Make a DIY Carpet & Rug Freshener. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:
  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup Dead Sea Salt
  • 20 drops Lemongrass
  • 10 drops Tangerine or Lemon (optional)
    Mix well. When ready to use, sprinkle over carpets and let sit for 10 minutes before vacuuming.
Make an Herbal Deodorizing Spray for pet beds, upholstered surfaces, car upholstery, etc. To a 4 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 20 drops Citronella essential oil
  • 15 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 10 drops each Tangerine & Lemon essential oil
  • Pinch of sea salt or a splash of witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered water
    Spray lightly onto surfaces to remove unwanted odors.
Make a DIY Laundry Scent Booster. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:

Lavender, Lemon & Peppermint

When the flowers start to bloom and the pollen begins to fly, we reach for the LLP Trio! Make a roller, diffuse, even mix the oils and apply just inside the nose using an organic cotton tip. If you're needed even more support try adding Copaiba or Tea Tree to the mix. 

*Vitality oils are the same essential oil as their non-Vitality counterparts and can be used in the same way.

  • Make a roller with 15-20 drops each oil and carrier. Apply over the lymph nodes, on the chest and under the nose.
  • Diffuse this blend all day every day, and especially at bedtime to support the airways as you sleep.
  • Do a ‘lavender swipe' by either placing a drop of Lavender Vitality under the tongue or swiping on the inside of your cheek.
  • Place 2 drops Lavender Vitality, 1 drop each Lemon, Peppermint Vitality in an empty vegetable capsule with olive oil and take up to three times daily, especially before acute needs.
R.C. Essential Oil Blend

This herbaceous eucalyptus blend is wonderful to diffuse when you're feeling stuffy. R.C. stands for Respiratory Comfort, and that is exactly what this blend does - it comforts! This blend is appropriate for anyone age 2 and up. 

  • Add 1–3 drops to V-6 Vegetable Oil and rub it on your chest and back for respiratory support.
  • Diffuse with Lemon and Lavender or on its own 
  • Add 8 drops to ¾ cup Epsom salts for a respiratory support bath. You can also add Lavender.

Allerzyme is a vegetarian enzyme that works with your body's system to promote natural digestive function. Lemongrass Essential Oil

Lemongrass is a bright, crisp and fresh, with makes it perfect for springtime and summer. Use this cleansing oil in your skincare routine, your cleaning DIYs and diffuse it all season long.

Add Lemongrass to wool dryer balls to give your laundry a bright-smelling boost.

Place a few drops of Lemongrass on cotton balls and stash them anywhere that can use additional freshness:  air vents, drawers, shoes, gym bags, rain boots, garbage cans, etc. Or drop Lemongrass directly into areas that need some freshening - rain boots, forgotten laundry, diaper pails, etc.

Use Lemongrass to remove stickers or sticky residue on surfaces. Simply drop onto the surface, allow to sit, then wipe clean.

Make DIY Scented Sachets to bring a crisp, happy aroma to any area of your home.
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/4 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 cup dried lavender buds or rose petals (optional)
  • muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approx 5" x 4"
  • 40-50 drops Lemongrass
    Step 1 - In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom Salt, flower buds and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture.
    Step 2 - Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch.
    Step 3 - Place anywhere you want to add a fresh scent.
    Refresh your pouch every 2-3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil.
Make a DIY Carpet & Rug Freshener. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:
  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup Dead Sea Salt
  • 20 drops Lemongrass
  • 10 drops Tangerine (optional)
    Mix well. When ready to use, sprinkle over carpets and let sit for 10 minutes before vacuuming.
Make an Herbal Deodorizing Spray for pet beds, upholstered surfaces, car upholstery, etc. To a 4 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 25 drops Lemongrass essential oil
  • 15 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 10 drops Lemon essentia oil
  • Pinch of sea salt or a splash of witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered water
    Spray lightly onto surfaces to remove unwanted odors.
Make a DIY Laundry Scent Booster. To a large glass jar with a lid, add:
Make a refreshing room spray. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 25 drops Lemongrass
  • splash of witch hazel
  • Fill with filtered with water
Upgrade your Kitchen & Bath Scrub with a lemon-y twist! To a glass jar, add:
Whip up this simple DIY Linen Spray to bring a bit of spring to linens and upholstered surfaces. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • splash of witch hazel
  • 15 drops of Tangerine
  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 10 drops Lemongrass
  • filtered water
Use Lemongrass to support healthy airways. Mix with coconut oil for a chest rub. Or whip up a DIY Breathe Massage Oil. To a 4 oz pump bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Lemongrass essential oil
  • 10 drops Lemon essential oil
  • Fill with carrier of choice
Apply it topically to calm everyday skin irritations or use to spot-treat blemishes. Try this T-Zone Roller. In a 10 mL roller bottle, add:
  • 10-15 drops each Lemon, Lavender, & Lemongrass
  • Jojoba oil or carrier of choice
Diffuse this purifying oil to help cleanse and freshen your space:
Fresh Laundry - 3 drops each Lemongrass, Lavender, Jade Lemon, & Tangerine
Happy Noses - 4 drops Lemongrass, 3 drops each Lemon & R.C.
Breathe Easy - 4 drops each Lemongrass, Frankincense, & Lavender
Spa Day - 4 drops each Lemongrass & Eucalyptus, 3 drops Peppermint

Orange Essential Oil

Known as liquid sunshine, Orange essential oil has a sweet and uplifting aroma that brightens any room and cleanses the air when diffused. This happy citrus oil pairs well with just about anything and is a wonderful addition to roller blends and DIYs.

The happiest of all the oils, Orange is a wonderful addition to ANY diffuser blend. Pair it with spice oils like Cinnamon Bark and Nutmeg, with Idaho Grand Fir and Lavender for sleep, or with Thieves for a great everyday blend. Orange is an incredibly uplifting oil that also inspires creativity!

Applied topically, Orange essential oil may reduce the appearance of blemishes, making it a key player in your skincare routine.

Mix up your daily NingXia Red. Add 1-2 drops of Orange Vitality essential oil directly to your NingXia or make a spritzer with sparkling water:
  • 2-4 oz NingXia Red
  • Orange, Citrus Fresh, and/or Lemon Vitality (or any Vitality oil) 
  • and lots of ice.
Add a drop or two of Orange Vitality to your favorite herbal tea for a fresh twist.

Add some zest to your salads and marinades by adding a few drops of Orange Vitality to the mix. Try this simple Dijon Vinaigrette with Lemon, Orange, or even Citrus Fresh Vitality:
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp organic dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vingar
  • 2-3 drops Orange, Lemon, or Citrus Fresh Vitality
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or another sweetener to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
    Mix all ingredients well with a whisk and use as desired. Shake gently before use.
Soak up the last bit of summer with this Orange-infused Yogurt Dip for your organic berries. (Recipe adapted from Lauren Dunamway):
  • 6 oz blackberries
  • 6 oz raspberries
  • 2 pints blueberres
  • 2 lb strawberries
  • 6 oz vanilla yogurt (or plain)
  • 6 drops Orange Vitality
    Mix yogurt and Orange Vitality and use as a dip for the fruit or mix the fruit in the yogurt and refrigerate for an hour to chill, then enjoy.
Add a drop of Orange Vitality directly to your Thieves toothpaste for an extra bust. Orange and Orange Vitality essential oil is cold pressed from the rind of the fruit, making it alkaline and not acidic. You can also add Orange Vitality to your Thieves mouthwash.

Orange Vitality is the exact same oil as Orange essential oil, simply labeled differently so it can be ingested. That means you can use Orange Vitality the same way you would Orange essential oil - in the diffuser and in all your favorite roller blends as well.

Lushious Lemon Essential Oil Blend

Daily Habits with Lushious Lemon
Note: As with citrus oils, avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying Lushious Lemon topically.

Household

Make a DIY Mattress & Upholstery Spray for refreshing lines and mattresses with each sheet change or every time you make the bed. Switch up the oils as you like. To an 8 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 2 tsp Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 20 drops each Lushious Lemon & Lavender
  • Fill the rest with water
Diffuse it to neutralize unwanted odors throughout the home and fill your space with it cheerful aroma.

Add 40 drops of Lushious Lemon to your Thieves Household Cleaner for a fresh, spring scent.

Add Lushious Lemon to dryer balls for fresh, citrusy smelling laundry. Use 3 drops per wool dryer ball.

Use Lushious Lemon in this DIY Laundry Scent Booster. To a large glass jar with an airtight lid, add:
  • 1.5 cups Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 40 drops Lushious Lemon
    Whisk together until all ingredients are well combined.
    To Use - add 1-2 tbsp into the washer before adding any laundry. Add your clothes and normal amount of laundry detergent.
Personal Care & Beauty

Inhale Lushious Lemon for a mid-afternoon reminder of sunny days.

Diffuse Lushious Lemon (or one of the blends below) while you journal, meditate and process any feelings of lack, frustration or low confidence.

Whip up a Spring Blossom room spray. To a 2 oz glass spray bottle, add:
  • 20 drops Lushious Lemon
  • 10 drops Tangerine or Orange
  • 10 drops Joy or Gernaium
  • A splash of witch hazel
  • Fill the rest with water

Diffusing is a wonderful health habit. We have our diffuser going almost 24/7 and love to choose blends that are supportive of individual needs or systems. Try some of these great combinations and enjoy the bright, fresh scent of Lushious Lemon.

  • Good morning - 6 drops Lushious Lemon, 4 drops Peppermint
  • Fresh Flowers - 4 drops Lushious Lemon, 3 drops each Geranium & Grapefruit
  • Greenhouse - 6 drops Lushious Lemon, 4 drops Cypress
  • Cloudy Day - 4 drops Lushious Lemon, 3 drops Bergamot, 3 drops Vetiver
  • Fresh Rain - 6 drops Lushious Lemon, 4 drops Clove

Golden Turmeric


Turmeric is no stranger to the health scene. YL's Golden Turmeric powder supports the body's natural response to inflammation, immune response, joint health, mobility, and recovery after physical exertion because of its incredible powerhouse ingredients.

Daily Habits with Golden Turmeric

  • Mix ½ teaspoon in 6–8 ounces of water, juice, or milk of choice once daily
  • Drink at nighttime as part of your wind-down routine
  • Combine with water, ice, 1 drop of Cardamom Vitality essential oil, and 2 ounces of NingXia Red for a delicious wellness drink
  • Add to a green smoothie (it's delicious with the Vanilla Spice Protein Powder)
  • Steep Spiced Turmeric Vitality Tea and add ½ teaspoon of Golden Turmeric for a cozy nighttime drink
Start your day with a Golden Milk Latte (full recipe is here)
  • ½ Tsp Golden Turmeric powder
  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 1 drop Cardamom Vitality
  • 1 drop Nutmeg Vitality
  • Swish of Cinnamon Bark Vitality (insert a toothpick into the bottle, then swirl it around in the milk)
  • Dash of ground cinnamon for garnish
  • Option to froth some of the milk and essential oils in an electric frother for delicious foam! 
    Heat the milk on medium low, then stir in Golden Turmeric powder and add essential oils. Stir gently, then top with a sprinkle of cinnamon!
Make a Turmeric Clay Mask (adapted from Hello Glow):
  • 1/2 teaspoon Golden Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Tbsp flour of choice or ground oats
  • 3 Tbsp full fat yogurt or milk
  • A few drops of honey
  • 3 drops Manuka essential oil
  • 3 drops Frankincense essential oil
    Mix flour, turmeric, honey and milk to make a paste. Add essential oils. Apply a thin layer to your face and let it dry for 10-15 minutes (see below for guidelines). Rinse and scrub gently to remove.
While the powerful antioxidants present in turmeric impart that vibrant yellow color, be aware that this same color can stick around a little too long.  A good rule of thumb to follow is the one minute rule — if you notice no discoloration after sixty seconds, leave on for another four minutes. Test again, and keep it on all the way until 10 or 15 minutes, which should be the max for most products and at-home solutions.
