Who else has incredible dreams when using essential oils? The dreams usually tell me what I need to do the next day to move forward. If I apply essential oils to support my emotions during the day, then at night I apply oils like Dream Catcher, Cedarwood or Awaken, my dreams are quite surreal. My dreams come alive when I apply the right oils before going to sleep. I always enjoy interpreting the meaning behind my dreams. A combination of Valerian and Cedarwood on the back of the neck seems to work well for many people. The Sweet Dreams Collection has what we need to encourage the sweetest dreams.
Another recent night, my feet were cold for hours and nothing I did would warm them up. Finally I got out of bed, and put a drop of Thieves on the soles of my feet and put my socks back on. Within minutes, my feet were toasty warm and I fell quickly asleep. Thieves is great for diffusing in Winter.
Feather The Owl diffuser plays white noise and has a night light (red light is best to help with sleep, blue light actually makes us think we are awake). For a short time this is available with a plush toy too. Also great for all those Harry Potter fans. Whose children will love this?
PS: A portion of all proceeds from our Feather the Owl Diffuser sales will go to support Tracy Aviary, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting birds and their habitats.

If your little ones need support to fall asleep at naptime or bedtime, consider making a sleepy cream! Rub this on the child's chest, neck, and feet to help them wind down and relax.
Here's how to make it:
• Take 1/2 cup of organic coconut oil in a measuring cup and whip until it becomes a thick and creamy consistency!
• Then add your oils –
4 drops Cedarwood
4 drops Peace & Calming
4 drops Lavender
& mix again!
• Place in container of your choice & store in the refrigerator until needed.
Here is Cole Woolley's, PhD, FaceBook post on 'The Top Three Oils for Sleep':
I found 3 Unique Essential Oils for Adults and Children to help them Sleep.
Proper sleep means uninterrupted sleep.
Proper sleep means consistent habits.
I found 3 uniquely different essential oils that help relax the body and mind, create sleep-onset, and help support lasting sleep.
1. Lavender
Nearly all of us know this one. Linalool (sweet, floral aroma) and Linalyl acetate (floral, lavender aroma) in Lavender have been shown by scientific research to promote body and mind relaxation, and enhance lasting sleep.
On PubMed there are 144 research studies discussing “Sleep + Lavender”.
The aroma intensity of Lavender is “high”.
2. Vanilla
Vanilla is a bean extract (sometimes called an oleoresin extract). The best vanilla beans are grown and harvested in Madagascar, Uganda and India.
Vanillin in Vanilla is a pleasant aroma - you will call it “sweet, vanilla” aroma. There are many components in natural Vanilla bean extracts which provide: “sweet, woody, herbal and buttery” aromas.
The aroma intensity for Vanilla is “high”.
Vanilla has limited research on PubMed for “sleep + vanillin”, there are 50 research papers on “relaxation + vanillin”.
3. Copaiba
This is my “secret solution” for sleep. Copaiba is chuck-full of Heavy Note Aromas. The aroma that dominates is “woody-earthy”.
Copaiba is dominated by Sesquiterpenes and Diterpenes. One of these is beta-Caryophyllene. These molecules stay on the skin.
The aroma intensity of Copaiba is “mild” because Copaiba molecules evaporate verrrry slowwwwly.
PubMed has limited research on Copaiba, but there are a dozen studies on “relaxation + Caryophyllene” and “sleep + Caryophyllene”.
The secret sleep success of Copaiba is the fact that it provides lasting “woody-calming” aroma ALL NIGHT LONG.
DIY SLEEP BLEND
Make your own blend diluted in fractionated coconut oil. You only need a 5-10% essential oil in 90-95% fractionated coconut oil blend to work for sleep.
Because the aroma intensity of Lavender and Vanilla are “high”, while Copaiba is “mild”; you may want to start with these ratios for a 10ml volume.
Lavender (3 drops)
Vanilla (1 drop)
Copaiba (8 drops)
Massage children’s feet before bed. You too, massage your feet before bed. Now, sleep, sleep, sleep.
