Raw Caramel Slice with Orange Essential Oil
Are you wanting a sweet treat? Something that is delicious and rich in flavour? This dessert requires no baking and is free of gluten, processed sugar and dairy. A great treat to keep in the freezer for storage or in the fridge to eat as an after-dinner treat.
Orange oil is energising and cleansing. Alternative oils such as Peppermint, Citrus Fresh, Lemon or Lavender can be used.

BASE
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup organic desiccated coconut
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 4 Medjool dates (seeds removed)
Method:
  1. Process all ingredients in blender.
  2. Spread in base of 8x8cm tin.
  3. Place in freezer while making the caramel.
CARAMEL:
Ingredients:
  • 1 ¼ cup Medjool dates (seeds removed)
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • * ¼ tsp sea salt
Method:
  1. Process all ingredients in blender.
  2. Spread on top of base.
  3. Place in freezer while making the chocolate topping.
CHOCOLATE TOPPING:
Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 5 drops Young Living Orange oil
Method:
  1. Melt the coconut oil.
  2. Mix in the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Cool slightly then pour on top of caramel.
  4. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from tin and cut into small pieces.
  6. Store in fridge for fridge (or freezer for 3 months)
