Oils for Getting Organised and Prepared
Oh, the mess! Yes, my physical home is in a bit of a mess at the moment as I am in the process of doing a huge clean up and getting ready for the huge changes that are coming. My life has taken a massive change in direction in the last few months, and I have taken the boxes stored in the garage and am in the process of finding a home for them for easy access in my home. There are boxes down the hallway, and work resources scattered throughout as I work my way through the clutter and find a place for it all. At the moment, it feels like chaos, but I know in the coming weeks, my home will be organised again, and the feeling of joy and relaxation with having everything easily accessible and back in its place will feel incredible.

To help with this organisational process, I like to use oils like Hyssop and Motivation, in combination with prayer, to move forward efficiently and effectively.

Hyssop is an essential oil that I feel people really need at this time of getting prepared for future events. There are a number of blends that contain Hyssop and they include Awaken, Egyptian Gold, Harmony, ImmuPower, Relieve It and White Angelica.

Hyssop was mentioned numerous times in the Bible. Hyssop was recognised in the Bible for purging or cleansing oneself from sin, immorality, evil thoughts or bad habits.

Here are three examples of Bible verses were Hyssop or Hyssop branches were used.

Bible Verse: You shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts; and none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning. (Exodus 12: 13)
  • The children of Israel were commanded to use Hyssop branches dipped in blood to protect the home from evil spirits. Dipping branches in blood is not recommended, but the symbolism of Hyssop being used to protect the family home is what resonates with me.
Bible Verse: 28Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." 29A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. 30When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19: 28-30)
  • There is an incredible reason why they placed a sponge dipped in wine vinegar on a Hyssop branch (as opposed to another species of tree) just before Jesus' passing on the cross. Do you know the reason why?
Bible Verse: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (Psalms 51: 7)
  • This oil is believed to be spiritually cleansing and aids in purifying from evil thoughts, sin and immorality.

Motivation is one that I regularly diffuse or applying for times when I need to overcome procrastination, and get on with the job. Motivation promotes feelings of action and accomplishment. This energising and balancing blend enhances your ability to move forward in a positive direction. Motivation has a soft aroma that encourages productivity and allows us to refocus, recharge, and re-motivate.

Bible Verse: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6: 9)

I believe, now is the time, more than ever, to do a spring clean and get prepared for the coming events. A spring clean of my physical home, emotional body and spiritual body is just what I am in the process of doing. Applying an oil like Hyssop or Motivation, in combination with prayer, supports us to move forward in trust and faith.

Bible Verse: …And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22: 2)

Which essential oil do you use and which Bible passage do you pray at times of getting organised and prepared?

God bless.
